“My husband and I came for brunch today and everything was excellent! Alyssa and Mayo gave great service behind the bar. I had a Cereal Milk latte with Cinnamon Toast Crunch which was so good. My husband raved about the beer program and had a great sour. He got the egg cheese and bacon biscuit and I got the smoked salmon toast. They informed us that the chef actually makes the biscuit and toast in house from scratch. Thank you harp team!“

“We eat here every single time we come to the DC area. It is my favorite place to eat. The Scotch Eggs, Shepherd’s Pie and Guinness Stew are our favorites. The staff remembers us and welcomes us. The owner is awesome. We can’t recommend this place enough.“

“Shenanigans is a staple within the AdMo community. As a millennial, I like how they play a lot of the 2000-2010s pop music and have been going here on and off for years. I do think the DJs need to update their playlists though and rotate/add more songs because there’s only so much of listening to JB’s “Beauty and the Beat” I can take at time.
The only thing I don’t like about this place is that it gets extremely crowded and suggest maybe start charging tickets to get inside and capping it at x amount of people for a given portion of the night.
The patrons are young college kids (as with a lot of bars in DC since it’s a young professional city) and for the most part they mind their business as I do but some of them get belligerently drunk, which can ruin the vibe there. There’s definitely an ageism aspect amongst them of who can and cannot frequent this bar and similar bars but I’m allowed to go where I want.
I haven’t had a problem with staff — Bouncer, barbacks, bartenders, and security. They’re all doing their jobs as expected, especially bartenders dealing with the constantly rush of kids for their discounted drinks.
All in all, I recommend checking out Shenanigans!“
