Custom Cakes near Arlington, VA

“Randolphs has been my favorite bakery for years. The recent changes, sub contracting baking of breads, croissants, etc.,have forced me to go elsewhere. They no longer have the cakes, pastries and breads that made them the best of the best. In addition, the once classic store is crowded with displays of cocoa mix and other items that have nothing to do with the shop’s bakery offerings. I will still go in occasionally for challah, but that is it. They should take down the awning describing the shop as a Patisserie. It’s a bakery but not a patisserie.

Parking: There isn’t more to say. It’s free if you can get it“

“Cold Stone Creamery is one of my favorite ice cream parlors. They have a lot of flavors that you can choose from. It’s in a nice neighborhood, so you’ll enjoy the outside atmosphere. If you want an indoor space, you can enter through the Crystal shops gate where there are some tables and chairs. An excellent place to enjoy with your friends or by yourself!“

“Sweet Dreams created fantastic delicious cupcakes for my daughter’s baby shower. All the guests complimented on how creative and tasty the cupcakes were. They were very moist and melted in your mouth. I let Karissa create the cupcakes in my color theme and she did a variation of icings and cakes. They were a huge success. I will certainly order cupcakes through Sweet dreams again..“

“Last year, I went with a friend on a night in April, and even though the weather was chilly, many people were waiting in line. I enjoyed the meal with my friend and children, but it was disappointing that the chunks of frozen fruit didn't break into pieces, perhaps because it was prepared by a woman. Still, I ordered 3 types and they were all delicious.“

“Where to begin... got the chance to visit Paradise Ice Cream. Great and prompt curbside pickup service. “This little shop is mighty, and its owner Catherine is so lovely! GBBO fans will be delighted that, yes, THIS is the place where you can find a cherry bakewell (#IYKYK). Be sure to ask if there are any savory offerings in the back - I recently had a terrific mushroom and spinach tart that convinces me that I should just buy whatever savory offering is on deck.I can't wait till afternoon tea service is available. I'll definitely be there.“

“Wow, what a cake Zymira made! It was my dad's 100th birthday which called for something extra special. He loves apple pies so I asked for an apple flavored cake using the numbers 1, 0 and 0, and decorations reflecting three passions of his: golf, music and, get this, the Holy Spirit. Zymira invented a recipe: a cake with apply pie filing inside! and she made THREE cakes, one shaped as a 1, and two shaped as 0s, and sat them on serving sheets with the golf/music/Holy Spirit themes! It was the centerpiece of our dinner table. Very very good cake: moist, and that apple pie filling a special surprise. My dad loved it!“

“Cotton was a delight to work with from start to finish. For a baby shower, I ordered cupcakes, brownies, soft-baked cookies, fruit tarts, and cheesecakes. Everything was BEAUTIFUL, DELICIOUS and arrived 30 minutes early. It was a huge hit with all my coworkers and they were all asking where I ordered these sweet treats. “The signature crepe cake was quite good, one of the best I've had. Very nice texture, perfect amount of sweetness for me (not overly sweet). I expect the price here to be higher due to its location in Tyson's galleria and the crepe cakes being more labor intensive, but I still thought the $11.50 price was too high for the portion size. Recommend if you are already in the mall and don't mind the higher price. Would probably pass otherwise.“

“I was there to bring a cake for a mother's day gift. They were very busy and the lady who work at the front desk was having too much job to handle. She is very helpful and patient of handling all that order and people. You guys need additional person at the front desk in busy days like this. Thanks!“
