I am from Scottsdale and was coming into town for my son's wedding. This was just a low key civil ceremony before the big bash. I searched Yelp extensively and settled on the bakers lounge. I called and spoke to the owner Katherine, explaining the situation. I told her that my you son and his husband have sophisticated palates and I left everything up to her. I stumbled upon The Baker's Lounge on Yelp when I was looking for someone to design a pre-made cake for my brothers birthday. I called Katherine last minute and she allowed me to bring two small cakes to The Baker's Lounge. Katherine transformed two store bought cakes into beautiful customized cakes for a 25/30 yr olds birthday. Katherine was a life saver! I appreciate her so much for what she did for my family and I. This little shop is mighty, and its owner Catherine is so lovely! GBBO fans will be delighted that, yes, THIS is the place where you can find a cherry bakewell (#IYKYK). Be sure to ask if there are any savory offerings in the back - I recently had a terrific mushroom and spinach tart that convinces me that I should just buy whatever savory offering is on deck.I can't wait till afternoon tea service is available. I'll definitely be there.
