I’ve been going to Takohachi for years and the sushi never fails. It’s low key and reasonably priced, yet has some of the best, freshest maki in town. Highly recommend to anybody looking for good sushi in the DMV. I’ve not had their other food but they have a huge menu of authentic Japanese dishes, so there’s something there for everyone!
The respect from the manager and server made us feel at home. Attentive service, great prices and incredibly fresh/complex flavors in their sushi. My wife and I said wow with almost every bite. Such a great find!
My go to spot if you want author's Japanese food, owned by a Japanese chef. The Japanese Curry is the best I've had in the area, ramen is authentic, and the sushi can't be beat. I'd recommend all the appetizers. Never had a bad experience. I'd even recommend it if you have a business dinner or even for a date night. Great price, great atmosphere, really good food.
