My friends and I were excited to try the distillery next door and after a great cocktail, we slid across the patio to the cafe next door. We saw they had indoor seating but we chose to sat outside on the patio. The service was just as great as the food. I had the grilled vegetable plate and was blown away by how delicious everything was, especially the hummus! We also had a pork sandwich, which was fantastic, and grilled shrimp and steak skewers, which again, came in generous portions and were absolutely delicious!Between the casual vibe, the food and the location (perfect for folks who live north of Charlottesville who don't want to brave heading into town for a great dinner or folks driving back from the wineries) we can't wait to go back!

No inside seating. No heaters for outside seating. (Evening in early March) Items were no longer available on standard menu and no substitute was offered. Food is good but kind of pricy server less than friendly. Do

I ordered the Pincho Platter and hubby got the Club sandwich. Pincho platter was SO GOOD. The chimmichurri and other sauce on it was delish..it was a nice portion of chicken, shrimp, and steak and it was cooked perfectly!! my side was the plantains . YUMMM. Hubbys club sandwich was huge .. had to take home . I will visit again when we come back to massanutten

Being a sister location of BBQ Exchange, the Exchange Café is a given masterpiece. Carrying an aesthetic that pleases all, you’ll surely find home in at least one of the indoor/outdoor seating arrangements. While some delicacies require an advanced palette, those not-so-adventurous eaters can fall back to a handful of classics like the Exchange Burger. Plenty of drinks, not to exclude wine, beer, handmade drinks, and so much more have great synergy with the main dish or appetizer(s) of choice. Desserts, mainly consisting of cakes and pastries, are also available IF somehow you didn’t stuff yourself already. My advice: If you have a strong palette and have little to no dietary or allergy restrictions, get something that you would find absolutely nowhere else. If you become addicted to the Exchange Café, it wasn’t my fault!Vegetarian options: Many salad choices and vegan/vegetarian sandwiches.

This is such a wonderful cafe to stop by! The biscuit was delicious and so was the coffee. The cafe is warm, and has plenty of places to sit, which is so nice after being in the cold. They have many breakfast and lunch options as well as coffees and lattes. Their fridges are fully stocked with sodas, water, beer, wine and they also sell bags of coffee and some dry grocery goods. The staff are all very kind and welcoming.

We live in Gordonsville and were looking for a breakfast alternative on a Sunday Morning. The Exchange Cafe fit the bill nicely with coffees, breakfast biscuits with egg, cheese, mushrooms, etc. Somehow the chef cooked up some breakfast potatoes even with one of the grills down, going the extra mile there. My wife enjoyed her iced coffee and found bottles of wine to gift too. We will be back again I am sure.Vegetarian options: While not targeted at plant-based diets, you won't starve either.Parking: Shared lot with a distillery not yet open. Over 50 spaces easily.Kid-friendliness: Lot's of space including outdoor covered seating. Dogs outside too.

Stop in for a late lunch and I'm glad I did. First time here and the impression was very good. I had a burger that was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Service was great as well.Seating is limited inside but there are several tables on the patio. I'm sure I'll be back.
