The vineyard is set in the beautiful Virginia countryside, among wonderful rolling hills. The tasting room atmosphere is amazing with gorgeous decor, and the tasting room manager is just as fantastic and knowledgeable about the wine being produced there. Oh, and I cannot forget to mention that the wine is also just as fantastic!
We showed up shortly before they closed, but Dee welcomed us anyway, telling the story of the vineyard and how her family came to own the property. Our dog was welcomed in, as well. We had a lovely time sampling delicious reds!!
The entire visit from start to end was extremely pleasant and memorable. We were greeted by two corgis who enjoyed pets and belly rubs. We tasted a variety of wines and enjoyed the complimentary biscuit with strawberry jam. The conversation, individual attention, and teacher discount was much appreciated. We bought a few bottles and have marked this winery as one of our favorites.
