I'm incredibly disappointed. This place is filthy, and the service is exceedingly slow. There is signs of dirt everywhere. At 3 p.m., the waitress placed our order in the kitchen, and the food arrived at 4:10. One item had the incorrect bread, the fries were cold, and my sandwich had one half cold and the other half barely warm. The waitress and hostess were very kind and friendly, definitely I can’t blame them for our terrible experience. We have visited the Farmville location a few times, and there is no comparison; their food quality and cleanliness are superb.

Took us 30 minutes to get drinks, and 55 minutes for food. We got 2 hot sandwiches and they were ice cold. Don’t come here. Manager was very unprofessional and argued with us about the very obvious cold food sitting on our table and says that our tab was only open for 30 minutes. Because the dumb waiter took 30 minutes to realize we were sitting there! Restaurant is hardly busy, writing this review while actively speaking to the manager. He finally said he would “comp our meals” even though we did not eat the very cold food and only consumed our drinks. An hour to get cold food that is unappetizing? Unacceptable!

Came here a few days ago with my family & was very disappointed. When you enter a restaurant you’re supposed to be greated. The hostess TESSA had the nastiest attitude, she was disgusting & on her phone.. who runs this place? That they let there hostess be on their phone while people are entering?? She’s Nasty! They need to get rid of her, Won’t return!

We had a macado’s near us and we found this one in Blacksburg. It did not disappoint!! The food was amazing, our server Kurt was amazing. If you’re in the area, this place is it!!!

I ordered a mushroom burger, and there shouldn’t be bacon in the burger according to menu. However, after I ate it, I saw that my friend’s burger (it was also mushroom burger) included bacon. I don’t eat bacon and pork because of my life style. It is not a respectful approach!
Waitress told us about a cross contamination issue only after girlfriend with celiacs disease finished her entire meal. Totally ruined our night. Good restaurant, but the staff really should be taught more about the seriousness of dietary restrictions. Needless to say we won't be coming back until it's fixed.Dietary restrictions: Not taken seriously

The food was good however with a large group (18), they had a hard time responding in a timely fashion. The only exception to this was the one person in the group that ordered a salad and one that ordered fish and chips. I certainly will return for the food and atmosphere, but with a much smaller group. There is a particular frustration when you see everyone around you getting their food and still nothing.... One hour to get the food. Not good.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options are intermingled in the menu and not well marked.

Absolutely incredible restaurant! The atmosphere is amazing and the food is wonderful. Always come here on either New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day to eat and anytime during the year and they never disappoint. Some days are busier than others, but I’d stand in line that goes around the building if it meant I got to eat at Macado’s that day. Would recommend to anyone. (Definitely try their French onion chip dip, it’s amazing!)

Macado's is pulling off an impressive hussle on their customers. The fish and chips costs $13.65, and it only comes with one lonely haddock filet. The Cole slaw that it promised came in the same, tiny sized cup that the ketchup and tartar sauce came in.
