“Beautiful property. However, service has gone down. Not willing to have fire pits or fireplaces lit when requested and food has declined in quality on pizza and charcuterie boards.“
“We had a wonderful experience at the vineyard! Nancy is an amazing person. The staff were great and the wine was wonderful!“
“Wonderful afternoon celebrating my daughter’s birthday. Excellent staff, so hospitable and knowledgeable. We loved the Williams Gap White, blue cheese from a local artisan, and being able to bring a cake!“
“I was the only one there & had a great visit with the winemaker/owner.“
“Relaxing place to go for a glass, bottle or tasting. The view is a bonus“
“This Winery was the best place to get mead wine in the entire state of Virginia!“
“Perfect venue for our son and daughter in laws wedding! It was misting rain, but they easily moved the ceremony to the covered patio. The views were beautiful! Stage was awesome for some very fitting bluegrass from @Dunlap and Mabe! Staff was so accommodating to their every need! They create an intimate atmosphere! Highly recommend!“
“Loved the wines!! The ambiance was amazing!! Don’t let the outside fool you!! Beautiful inside ❤️“
“Lovely small vineyard that makes you feel at home. They have great wines, steaks, eggs and other food products. We have been coming here for years and always enjoy our time. Bob is amazing and does so much to make you feel part of the family“
“Sarah is absolutely wonderful at the Buchanan Hall Market.“
“Visited this winery with some friends the other week. Wine flightes were pre selected but you can still get a taste of any wine and beer!
Our bartender Arman was very friendly and helped guide us on the best wines to pair with our food. He also gave us a great breakdown on all the beers on draught and gave us amazing food recs (get the carpenters flatbread)!
Views are amazing, bar staff are friendly, and the atmosphere was very cozy. Will be coming back!!“
“Great hard apple cider! Great pretzel’s!“
“Amazing experience. Hosted my sister who lives in San Diego CA. Wine flight was delicious, favorite wine was Nebbiolo. My sis preferred Marquis de Lafayette (she nicknamed it Edward from Twoghkight). Perfect blend of good wine, ambience, and music. Entertainer Laura Farrell was stunning!!!!!!“
“M’kay, so Doukenie Winery is actually a really nice place to spend the day, m’kay. The customer service was super friendly and welcoming, and they had a really good selection of tasty wines. The whole property is peaceful as heck, m’kay — amazing mountain views, lots of trees, an old silo, a pond with ducks and geese waddling around, all that good stuff.
Jeremy gave us a small bag of bird feed, and pretty soon the geese showed up with all their little babies to eat, m’kay. It was honestly one of the most relaxing things ever. There’s plenty of seating everywhere, like picnic tables and Adirondack chairs, so you can just sit back and chill out. The winery is perched against the mountainside, super quiet and serene, with lots of parking and plenty of space so it never feels crowded.
There’s also a nice little gravel trail around the pond if you want to walk around and take in the scenery, m’kay. Overall, highly recommended for a relaxing getaway day, and we’ll definitely be coming back again.“
“great wine and beautiful scenery“
