“It's a very spacious brewery with great beer and good food. They have axe throwing, campfires, and both outdoor and indoor seats. There was a band playing when we went. They also have a ton of parking space.Really good vibe!”
“Great coffee and fantastic customer service! Always a relaxing experience. Delicious breakfast sandwiches too.Kid-friendliness: Books and cozy seating perfect foe kids”
“My family and I have tasted several pies and cakes from A la Mode Pies over the last few years, and they are consistently FANTASTIC! The customer service is also outstanding, especially if you are in a time crunch. Most recently, we ordered a German chocolate cake on New Year's Eve with 2 hours' notice because I forgot to place the order. They were amazingly gracious when they called to say they may need an additional hour, but in the end, they had it ready right on time. It was our first time trying the German chocolate cake, and it topped an old family recipe -- so delicious!! We ended up ordering another one just a couple days later for other family members. We've lived in NOVA for 20+ years, and A la Mode Pies hands-down gets our vote for best pies and cakes in the area. We are excited to continue discovering everything on their menu and highly recommend them!”
“Our dinner was exceptional. The She crab soup was delicious and the shrimp and crab linguini was amazing. The restaurant ambience was cozy and intimate. You can have a conversation without lots of noise. Prices are reasonable for the quality you are receiving. We will be back and will tell friends and family about this experience.”
“This place is really good . I been most indian restaurants and I find this restaurant food is really authentic and has a lot of flavor.. BridgMohan is so welcoming and the staff is really friendly.. A must try place ..”
“Rachel was so sweet and amazing with the service! Couldn’t ask for anything better ❤️Kid-friendliness: My son and my sisters kids had a great time and Racheal was so wonderful with the kids and very patient with them.”
“I wish I'd photographed the food just for this review. Why isn't this place busier? We were headed to El Jareipo in Warrenton which had a wait so we headed towards Gainesville. So glad we did! Everything is so fresh The salsa is delicious. My husband had the grilled chicken fajitas and I had the pollo encebollado. We shared the cajeta (fried ice cream). Cuervo silver margarita was solid, too. We will absolutely be back! The staff was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and attentive.”
“I was a transplant back in 1986 and am visiting the area again. What a little gem finding this coffee house. I loved the artisan tables - very affordable and the laid back feel. I just had a coffee and gulped it down heartily. Yum!”
“We met here as a group of friends to try something new. Great staff and helpful in talking about the selection of beers. I prefer IPA and had a good one, but flights are available to sample. Atmosphere was cool. Definitely worth a visit.”
“We had to drive our son to a party and were looking for a place to eat and this was pretty much the only place that didn't close at 230 or 3. Also they had by far the best reviews so we figured we would give it a try. We got the mini beef wellingtons to share, I got the braised short ribs with cheese panini and the hubs got the knuckle sandwich. I have to say best freaking panini EVER!!!! The mini wellington were ok. Hubby really enjoyed his as well. The owner was there and was very polite and even gave some cookies to these two adorable children. This place definitely has that small town feel. Think of Maybury from the Andy Griffith show. Absolutely loved it. One thing I will say is I wish the seating was different. High tables and chairs and not very comfy and a bit wobbly and no indoor seating for people who are handicapped. So while I give it 5 stars on everything and if I am ever in that area again I will visit as long as my handicapped son isn't with me.”
“It was super good food. The service was a little slow due to it being so busy. At Hector's it's the food is worth the waitParking: Parking in front and back.Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu that isn't all Spanish food. They have nuggets and burgersWheelchair accessibility: Big ramp leading to the door”
“This place is amazing!! super friendly staff and great food. Totally unique for the Haymarket area. I enjoy the crab cakes. I have also used the private room for closings and clients love it!”
“Amazing food and drinks! Great staff! Contrary to popular belief, they also have amazing cocktails. They have brat burgers and Schnitzel as well. Brick oven pizzas are off the hizzy.Vegetarian options: Many options for vegetariansDietary restrictions: Gluten-free options availableWheelchair accessibility: One side is accessible the other side is not.”
“I don't give 5 star reviews. This place is EXCELLENT. Joe gave us great service, but that was made even better by the food. The food was so good Joe could have punched me in the back of the head and I still would have said thank you. Sunday afternoons are made better by places like this. Check them out, they are to restaurants what Sony OLEDs are to televisions.”
“A hidden gem in Warrenton. We enjoyed the garlic naan, taj butter chicken and aloo gobi!Kid-friendliness: Brought my son - he enjoyed the dinner and the blend of Nepalese and Indian cultures.”
“This place is amazing! Best ice cream by far! I am new here from CO and they do not disappoint the sundaes are huge and absolutely delicious. You definitely get what you pay for & more! 10/10 highly recommend. So happy they are now open for the season, I will be by for some ice cream this weekend and all summer long! ☀️??❤️”
“From the moment I walked in I realized that this place is a hidden gem! I mean they have ice cream flights… How can you top that? Their chicken tenders are to die for!”
“We stopped by on Saturday evening for a pint and dinner and it was good. I think they were a wee bit understaffed but probably only seemed that way because we were in a bit of a hurry. The beer selection was great, and an Irish cider ?The Scoth eggs were delicious, the Shepard's pie was great and the mash was definitely homemade on the Bangers and mash, however I guess I'm used to the British way of not using a deep fried for the sausage, although the flavors were authentic. Every table seemed to really enjoy their food and drinks. We've been here several times and it's always good food ?”
“My guilty pleasure, I’m afraid I have made half the sales. I love the high grade Uji matcha, the soft well cooked tapioca pearls, and the subtly sweet jasmine! If you can, pop by, this place is a perfect snack on the way, and I’ve never been unpleasantly surprised.Kid-friendliness: Cute store, drinks can be made without pearls”
“I asked about the different beers I was interested in. The provided suggestions and samples. I even picked up a couple of crowlers and a 4 pack to take home. Great to go selection in the fridge.”
“Amazing food!!! Servers and cashier not warm people at all. They should be happy sharing only good vibes and extremely proud of their amazing food, but instead, they appear annoyed by their clientele.”
“Unfortunately, because their coffee is so good, I come here everyday. I personally love the Caramel Chai and the little knick-knacks they have up front. Every barista makes the best drink and has great service. My favorite is Laelanie, the latte art is amazing!!!”
“My husband and I moved here from Alabama in 2019 and since then we have failed at finding good BBQ. Something that really reminded us of home in the South where you can find good BBQ almost anywhere. Until today, when we finally got around to trying Hammerdown after passing it several times and saying, "We should try there."What an absolute hidden gem! Hands down the BEST smoked meat we've had since leaving the south. I didn't get any pictures because after we took that first bite it was game on! Needless to say this will be the only BBQ place that we support. Absolutely delicious, well seasoned, and moist meats! Even our 7 year old son devoured his pulled pork sandwich.I'm only taking off a star as I felt the sides were a little lackluster being the collards were bland and the Mac n cheese wasn't great. The green beans were good and the baked beans. We tried the smoked sausage, brisket and pulled pork for the meats. Can't wait to try the rest that they offer!”
“A beautiful farm brewery in a Virginia country setting. The beer is very good and the people are friendly. A great place to spend the day. If you have kids there is plenty of space for them to play outside. The day we were there they had live music that added to the fun.”
“Came here for a quick lunch based on other reviews. It did not disappoint. We ordered the turkey club on a baguette and the French dip. Both came with their delicious fresh cut fries. It was amazing! They were loaded with a good portion of meat and all toppings were fresh. It's a cute little place and the managers and/or owners were very welcoming. We look forward to going back and hoping to try the wide variety of ice cream they offer in the front of the store.”
“Cool place in the old town part of Warrenton. We stopped in and while I wasn't hungry, I couldn't pass up the fresh mussels, especially on a Monday. The other people with me had a burger and a steak and cheese; both looked great and they said they were really good. The service was great, our server paid attention to when we needed something but wasn't over doing it- perfect balance. While I wasn't drinking today, they had a lot of good choices from local craft beer to good bourbons with a good wine selection in-between. I'll definitely be going back!”
“The food was unbelievably delicious. I tried things I thought I would never like. The flavors and combinations were definitely 5 star! Unfortunately, the mixed drinks were horrible and I actually had to mix with my water to get it down. Please hire a bartender, the waitress is not meant to mix drinks. She also wasn't very warm and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful experience though. We will be back.Vegetarian options: Need more options for vegetarians”
“Another nice coffee place in Gainesville- GodShot off of Rollins Ford. Good coffee- I got the vanilla latte, and the flavor wasn’t overpowering like some places. Breakfast sandwich was good- hot, with crispy bacon. They let you choose what bread. Quiet atmosphere, with comfortable seating. A great place to get a cup, sit for a few minutes and catch up on emails.”
“Friendly and fast service! Brisket is phenomenal! Highly recommend Mac-n-cheese side. Atmosphere is casual and upbeat. If you’re in the area, definitely stop in, this place is GREAT!”
“Pearmund continues to be a consistently good experience - quality customer service, knowledgeable and interesting in sharing their wines. It comes at the typical Virginia premium (whites in the ~$20 range, reds up to $40).Adults-only in the tasting room, but kids allowed at the farm store (which sells wine by the bottle, but not tastings).Rentable rooms where the cost goes straight back to buying things.”
