“Leonore’s Pizza is fantastic - I haven’t had anything there that wasn’t absolutely delicious! We are “wing people” and I honestly think Leonore’s has the best wings in town and they’re HUGE!!! You get the biggest bang for your buck with those and they’re SOOOO worth it! Every time we go in to place an order, we are greeted so warmly by the owner and he is ALWAYS smiling! You can tell that he truly loves providing delicious food to everyone who comes in. On our last visit, he recommended we try his homemade eclair and all I can say is WOW - I’d keep on going just for that alone! “A friend recommended this place to me. It was in a rather tucked away spot in the Towers mall, but there’s no other words to describe this place as a hidden gem. I got the Pesto Meatball Calzone. The food was amazing - perfectly cheesy and seasoned, without being too oily or salty. The service was also very good; Laura, my server, was friendly and provided very quick service. The price is slightly high, but is well worth the food. I will definitely come here again given the chance.“

“Mama Maria's is now our favorite Salem Restaurant. We were gone from this area for over 22 years and recently moved back here after retiring. I have tried a lot of Italian Restaurants, but none of them match up to this one (except maybe one in NY). Since we re-found this, we have returned at least once per week since our return. Everything is freshly made and delicious. The red sauce (or gravy) is the real thing. The flavor is perfect. It is not spaghetti and meatballs. Portions are large enough to share, salads are fresh, bread comes prior to meal with 3 dipping oils which require finishing, (bread is homemade and melts in your mouth). Senior meals for people old like me are perfect size and generous, they come with choice of side salad or soup. If you happen to be there on crab bisque day...do not miss it!!! Atmosphere is clean and not crowded, Service is efficient and friendly, and it is a great value for your money!“

“The owner is a true Italian and does it right. He uses fresh ingredients and is not lacking on portion size. The Chicken Parmesan was delicious and I plan on trying many other things.“

“Would have preferred to rate it 10 stars. We stopped in Roanoke on our way south and stumbled on Fortunato. We had a pizza and pasta dish, both were absolutely incredible. This meal was better than all of the meals we had in Italy. The service was top notch. 10/10 all around, I wish we didn’t live 1000 miles away! Thanks for an amazing meal.“

“What a lovely experience. Stopped in and had two fantastic cocktails. Dark rum and gin. Who ever is designing their menu has a varried pallet and knows flavor. Our bartender was kind and very engaging. I highly recommend stopping by while visiting Roanoke.“

Parking: The parking is great, just pull up to the front of the store because it is takeout only, no dinning in. They bring it right out to you as soon as you tell them you have arrived.“

“Frank’s at Brambleton is a wonderful casual Italian restaurant. Fast, friendly service with tasty Italian dishes.

I ordered the sausage and peppers plate while my wife had the cheese ravioli. Both dishes arrived hot smothered in delicious cheese. I also got some ziti on the side.

Both of us took food home, after the salads and garlic bread filled us up too much to eat the whole dishes we ordered.

“I did lunch take out. The food was ok. Baked spaghetti was alright. I was underwhelmed by the steak and cheese. I guess I expected more from an Italian restaurant. However, those chips they served with the sandwiches, so so good. Im not really a chips person, but with these ones, ate every crumble“

Highly disappointed that when i called ahead of time to ask if they had a dessert table, was told No. We had a party of 10 for a birthday celebration, so I brought a cake. When it was time to have our cake, i was told it would be a $1.00 a plate charge to have a dessert plate. Extremely turned off about that. Ruined our birthday celebration. Idk? Is this a thing? Never ever have heard of a plate fee.“
