I called a few days later because I had left a jacket on the back of my chair. I asked if I could pay to have it shipped to me. They offered to ship it for free. “Gluten allergy here and a vegetarian . We both were able to eat here. Wanted the duck with risotto but told there were no substitutions. Bummer. Nonetheless the chef was excellent and food sourced freshly. The service was good. The food and service gets it five stars but they need to allow substitutions. I get why they don't though — it was very busy. Parking was confusing cause the lot is down the street and a lot of spots say LUNA in the parking spot but customers for Fortunato can park there.“

I had the pepper steak with white rice and vegetables and a spring roll. My husband had the Bai Lok Lak. All was very tasty. Restaurant is clean and Mario is super friendly and attentive . “Our usual place was closed so we decided to try a whole new place and it was a good choice! The general tsos isn’t drowning in sauce which made it so much better in my opinion. The vegetable lo mein had a very generous vegetable to noodle ratio and great flavor, and the chicken fried rice was great as well. The place was crowded as can be with people out the door, but we’d called ahead and I was able to get in and out quickly.

“The food here is FABULOUS! The staff is sooo friendly and polite also! The prices are reasonable as well! This place may not get enough credit! Everything is homemade daily! The meat is truly smoked on site EVERY DAY!! Their Brunswick Stew is the epitome of homemade comfort food!! The coleslaw and potato salad are exquisite and made every day fresh!! Another commenter complained about the hush puppies?? These are THE BEST FRESHEST CRISPEST DELICIOUS hush puppies!! In our opinion that is unbelievably inaccurate! They have a cozy little bar to sit at also. The restaurant itself is definitely in need of a makeover…. No question. They seem to do a very good business with lots of regulars. If ambience is critical, (it is for us), then we completely recommend takeout (pickup) which they do a wonderful job at!!“
