“The best diner in America! The customer service was excellent. We received our food quickly. The quality of the food was delicious. “We came through Roanoke and ate at Hollywood Restaurant & Bakery. Food and service were fabulous but I want to rave about their customer service after we left. I called a few days later because I had left a jacket on the back of my chair. I asked if I could pay to have it shipped to me. They offered to ship it for free. It arrived at my home in Chesapeake, VA in great condition. Thank you so much. That is true customer service.“

“I was expecting the meal to be good, but not THAT good. Everything was outstanding. The chili crisp burrata was a must-get appetizer as well as the roasted olives which were so warm and buttery… chefs kiss. Both pasta dishes we got were perfectly cooked, brilliantly flavored, and proportioned beautifully.
Also a huge shoutout to the bar for having $5 mocktails! The bartenders made me the most delicious mocktail I may have ever had.“

“Just moved to Roanoke and have to find new places to go for dinner. Have been there for dinner tonight and would recommend this place. I had the pepper steak with white rice and vegetables and a spring roll. My husband had the Bai Lok Lak. All was very tasty. Restaurant is clean and Mario is super friendly and attentive . Will definitely come back.“

“Hubby and I had dinner at the bar. Menu is creative, fried green tomato BLT sliders and savory mushroom pot pie. Everything was super fresh with attention to delivering highest quality. Mixologist Taylor is on top of his game and was a pleasure to hang with at the bar. His pisco sour was *chef's kiss*. Consistently one of our favorite spots!“

“After a 10 hour car ride we were looking for a place to eat, and franks was one of three options open. Safe to say it did not disappoint! The pizza was really good, and the staff was extremely friendly! We came in about half an hour to closing, and they were kind enough to put in some drinks and two pizzas for us! Thank you guys, keep doing amazing!“

“Leonore’s Pizza is fantastic - I haven’t had anything there that wasn’t absolutely delicious! We are “wing people” and I honestly think Leonore’s has the best wings in town and they’re HUGE!!! You get the biggest bang for your buck with those and they’re SOOOO worth it! Every time we go in to place an order, we are greeted so warmly by the owner and he is ALWAYS smiling! You can tell that he truly loves providing delicious food to everyone who comes in. On our last visit, he recommended we try his homemade eclair and all I can say is WOW - I’d keep on going just for that alone! Leonore’s has become a family favorite and I highly recommend them to everyone. Order ASAP - your taste buds will thank you! ♥️🍕 **Photos will be in the comments! 🤩“

“The absolute best place. Starr Hill in Roanoke is the friendliest best brewery in town. Since hiring Shannon things have totally turned around for the better. Shannon, Donovan, Rafe and George are the best of the best staff anywhere, they are like friends you have always had. Everytime you walk in they call you by name and make you feel so very welcome. Matter of fact I was in there the other day, sitting alone and was invited to join a few others at the bar. After making new friends I left several hours and lots of beer later, had a blast and made new friends. There is always something for everyone and you don’t have to do it all. Pick and choose what you want, you are never excluded. Not everything is for all but so much variety, never a dull moment. Beer and company is the best in town. It’s a “Place where everyone knows your name” just like to show “Cheers”. It will always be my go to community place to unwind. Thanks for ALWAYS making things so much fun.“

“The only Chinese restaurant I prefer to eat at in Roanoke. I like their yellow fried rice better than the typical fried rice found at other places soaked in soy sauce, grease, or cooked too long. Their food is always consistent and tastes fresher.“

“Food seemed really good since it was my only meal of the day. But the salad ranch dressing seemed OK. I questioned it myself but server said its their homemade. Well 4 hours later when I got home I lost it all. Kept me all night and still suffering; now I'm thinking the dressing i tasted wasn't as fresh? Or something in the pot pie which I only ate part of it and took rest home. I don't have issues or food allergies either and this doesn't happen to me. But something surely didn't go as planned. 😳“

Highly disappointed that when i called ahead of time to ask if they had a dessert table, was told No. We had a party of 10 for a birthday celebration, so I brought a cake. When it was time to have our cake, i was told it would be a $1.00 a plate charge to have a dessert plate. Extremely turned off about that. Ruined our birthday celebration. Idk? Is this a thing? Never ever have heard of a plate fee.“
