“After a 10 hour car ride we were looking for a place to eat, and franks was one of three options open. Safe to say it did not disappoint! The pizza was really good, and the staff was extremely friendly! We came in about half an hour to closing, and they were kind enough to put in some drinks and two pizzas for us! “Our usual place was closed so we decided to try a whole new place and it was a good choice! The general tsos isn’t drowning in sauce which made it so much better in my opinion. The vegetable lo mein had a very generous vegetable to noodle ratio and great flavor, and the chicken fried rice was great as well. The place was crowded as can be with people out the door, but we’d called ahead and I was able to get in and out quickly.

Parking: The parking lot is small and can be difficult to get in and out of on a busy night.“

I have had a Gyro dinner and Souvlaki Chicken Dinner. Both are great! Served hot with salad and fries. Both of my meals were to go.

The baklava is probably the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot. It’s amazing!!

The woman who I guess is the owner is very sweet and welcoming. I will add this place into my rotation.

“Leonore’s Pizza is fantastic - I haven’t had anything there that wasn’t absolutely delicious! We are “wing people” and I honestly think Leonore’s has the best wings in town and they’re HUGE!!! You get the biggest bang for your buck with those and they’re SOOOO worth it! Every time we go in to place an order, we are greeted so warmly by the owner and he is ALWAYS smiling! You can tell that he truly loves providing delicious food to everyone who comes in. On our last visit, he recommended we try his homemade eclair and all I can say is WOW - I’d keep on going just for that alone! I had the fried catfish biscuit and added an egg on top, ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. 😍
The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection, it was so good that I’m afraid to order fish anywhere else in the soon future because it won’t be as good as what I just had here. 🥲
We shared a half order of blueberry Nutella French toast that was soooo good.

Can’t wait to come back next time I’m back in Roanoke.

“The food here is FABULOUS! The staff is sooo friendly and polite also! The prices are reasonable as well! This place may not get enough credit! Everything is homemade daily! The meat is truly smoked on site EVERY DAY!! Their Brunswick Stew is the epitome of homemade comfort food!! The coleslaw and potato salad are exquisite and made every day fresh!! Another commenter complained about the hush puppies?? These are THE BEST FRESHEST CRISPEST DELICIOUS hush puppies!! In our opinion that is unbelievably inaccurate! They have a cozy little bar to sit at also. The restaurant itself is definitely in need of a makeover…. No question. They seem to do a very good business with lots of regulars. If ambience is critical, (it is for us), then we completely recommend takeout (pickup) which they do a wonderful job at!!“
