“Our Monday night dinner group has come back here multiple times. The smell is wonderful immediately when you walk in. The host and all staff there are super friendly and always fun to chat with. Our waiter had our whole table laughing every time we engaged with him. Everyone's orders were perfectly cooked, nice sized portions and came out very quickly. I personally love the Malaysian Iced Coffee, Roti Canai and Chicken Satay. Our group had noodle dishes, beef, lamb, seafood....all was wonderful. The flavors are vivid and bright, delicious and clearly comfort food. I promise you, you'll enjoy your trip here. Great food for everyone. Very nice open atmosphere and every table seemed very content.“

“Superb authentic Indian food. The real taste of south Indian cuisines, well cooked and every item on the Buffet was tasty. The staff greet you with a smile and really take care of your choice of food and also give their suggestions to try other dishes too. They had mild, medium and high spicy foods displayed in the buffet. The atmosphere was very nice, clean and looked very hygienic. “Ate here yesterday for the first time. Delicious! My wife and I are excited to find an Indian restaurant nearby we both love.

We got lunch portions of the chicken chettinad and chicken kolhapuri. Hard to say which was better as they were both delicious. If you love spicy dishes these will hit your taste without being overpowering (we love spice and found the spice level around a medium). Amazing portions for the lunch dishes: you get a lot for a cool twelve bucks.

We also tried dahi puri for the first time and can highly recommend; the right blend of tartness and sweetness to offset the main dishes.

Only picked up but both workers--an older man and woman (owners, maybe?)--were very sweet and polite. The inside is clean and has the feel of a high-end hole-in-the-wall (if that makes sense).“

“We had to pick someone up from Dulles Airport in virginia and had about an hour to spare. We Googled nearby options and found this place just five minutes away from the airport. We ordered mutton masala with rice, plain naan, and a chikoo shake. We also packed a butter paneer masala, which was great. The food was excellent overall. The chikoo shake could have been a little less sweet, but otherwise it’s a great spot for Indian food. Those who need to know, this place is big, clean and has a good bar too.“

“Chaatwala is hands down one of the best spots in Herndon for authentic Indian food! The chaats are amazing – super fresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of spice. The dosas are perfectly crispy, and the curries are rich and delicious. The staff is really friendly, service is quick, and the portions are generous. You can tell they put a lot of care into the food and it shows in every bite. If you’re looking for great Indian street food and comfort dishes in Northern Virginia, this place is a must-visit. “We loved our experience. Came for dinner with my husband and ordered several dishes. The chicken platter appetizer came out sizzling and delicious. We also enjoyed the Gobi Manchurian (sweet and spicy cauliflower appetizer). The Natu Kodi and Shrimp Curry entrees were both spicy oily and tomato-based with the perfect amount of seasoning… very rich in flavor. Enjoyed both of those dishes. My favorite entree was the paneer butter masala. Amazing sauce - similar to butter chicken sauce. I was eating the sauce with everything!! Also had an amazing Chicken Dum Biryani where the chicken was on the bottom of the rice. The garlic naan was phenomenal. Got to meet their chef Krishna who was super nice and explained some of the dishes to us. We were pleased with our meal and will be back to try out their buffet next!“

“I tried East India Kebabs at this past weekend's EatLoco Market in Dulles Town Center and was blown away! My boyfriend and I shared a footlong chicken tikka wrap that was so flavorful and delicious. It was the perfect sharing size for two people, which was an absolute steal for only about $13, especially at a farmer's market where everything is notoriously expensive. I would definitely order again, especially because it was light and not too creamy/decadent. We also tried their mango lassi which I unfortunately didn't like as much, only because it's very heavily spiced which overpowers the mango flavor, but I'm a fruit girlie, so I like my mango lassi to have mango hitting me in the face lol. But the texture was still great and refreshing. If they had a storefront I'd definitely be hitting it up often lol. Check them out!“
