“I have been wanting to try Ummas for a few years now - but am rarely in downtown Charlottesville in the evenings. I finally got to go! I enjoyed the menu selections and Korean and Japanese options. I was with my kid who is a very picky eater and he ate all of his karage Japanese chicken - high praise! The kimchi selections are very fresh and delicious. The Korean Fried Chicken is so crispy and yummy. I really am glad to have finally been able to dine here. Also note that it’s a QR ordering system - with option to order at the front counter if the tech fails for you. Go!“

“Do yourself a favor and get the tofu gang jeong appetizer, one of the best things I've ever tried at a Korean restaurant. Very busy on Friday nights, but luckily we had made a reservation. This place came highly recommended to us. The service was a little slow and it seemed like the restaurant was understaffed, but we were still smiling from our sassy server. Udon Bokkeum had good noodle textures, but the flavor was a little bit dull for my taste.Overall, good experience, a little pricey, but would still recommend ?“
“Such a cool experience! We did both the hotpot and grill for dinner and had a great time. The sauce bar is fun touch! The service was a lot better than I expected. They have a button at the table to call a server but we didn't even need to use it. The time limit is pretty generous and we were very full before our time ran out. We will be back!“
“My wife and I order DOMA often. It's her comfort food as a Korean immigrant whenever she's homesick. I can say unequivocally that the DOMA staff and owners care deeply about their customers and the food coming out of their kitchen. Our food has always been exceptional, and we had one big whoopsie on a week that my wife had been more homesick than usual. When we contacted DOMA, they all but literally bent over backwards and went way above and beyond to make up for the mistake in a way no other restaurant owner ever would. I cannot speak highly enough of this establishment.“
