The Local was extremely crowded the evening we were there. Parking is a challenge. I had to park 4 blocks away. We were seated on the upper level and there was a bachelorette party going on. Noise levels were extreme. As usual the beef short ribs were excellent, and prices are still moderate compared to most restaurants nowadays.
We had great service and was solidly impressed with the staff helping each other tending the all tables. Shout out to them for adeptly carrying tays of drinks and food up the stairs to our 2nd floor table! We enjoyed the food as well. We took the server's recommendations and ordered the short ribs (the meat was tender and fell off the bone) and the mushroom truffle ragout (with gnocchi for no extra charge). The service was fantastic. All of our dishes were delicious. Highly recommend. The only challenge was noise level so it was hard to have conversation. Absolutely a delicious dinner with great service.
