We didn't ask for first responder discount but my fiance has a debit card with the NC Association of Rescue and EMS on it (we are both first responders) and the cashier gave us a discount after seeing the card.”

“The service is slow. I was sitting in the drive thru and was asked to hold on for a minute, while waiting over 3 minutes another car pulled up to the other lane and placed his order. I'm still sitting there waiting to place an order. , I finally said hello to see if there was anyone there to take my order I was asked to go ahead and place my order. . I asked why I had been sitting there for so long waiting and no one was taking my order, her response was well we have two people taking orders. SHE had a no care attitude! This McDonald's has gone way down hill. There is never a 90 second time in Drive thru, no one is never friendly, most of the time the orders are wrong.”

“My husband took his late mother out to lunch one day. He remembered how fantastic the slaw dogs were. (This was about 30 years ago.) He’s still trying to find/make slaw dogs as great-tasting as Buck’s Drive-In. So far, no luck. Guess we have to go visit this place whenever we’re in the area.”

“we were on vacation on Tumbling Creek we came into the diner 3 times that week the twins were wonderful very personable with us as was everyone there , food was delicious we had hot roast beef with mash and gravy also chicken salad was the best of anywhere we have ever been, breakfast also delicious tator tots were banging and the sweet tea was devine thankyou coach's well be back we frequent Tumbling Creek a few times a year , thankyou again wonderful family and your service and kindness , sincerely Tom and Cindy from NJ”

After never getting a return call from where we normally get our cakes we were in compleat upset with only four days left til his party, so I started looking for a place to get a very special cake for our very special birthday boy. With only four days she worked an absolute miracle!!! The cake was perfect, tasted great, so cute and a hit with everyone! Y'all this lady is the best and her prices were so reasonable. Most people wouldn't take on a specialty cake with so little time, but she did and knocked it out of the park! She has made a life long customer here and I will tell everyone I know! “Looking at the place, you wouldn't think anyone ever goes there, and maybe they don't for eat-in. There's lots of space for eat-in, but while we got there about 12:30 on a weekday, not one other person joined us. A lot of the space is used for storage, maybe simply because it's available. I understand they do a lot of business for takeout though.

I got a lunch special, and they gave me a heaping plate of food for $7.50, fresh and very good. I got chicken with cashew nuts, which was sauced fried chicken (not the same crunchy chicken like sweet and sour), diced carrots, diced celery, and fresh (not sauced) cashews, and with a large heap of pork (diced small) fried rice. They gave us a cup of sauce packets, with a lot of options.

They don't have fountain drinks, with bottles and cans instead. This includes water - if you're planning to dine in and get water to save money, it doesn't cost much more to just get a soft drink. Or a can Yoohoo, which is what I got - it's the same price as the water.”

“I've enjoyed Hunt Bros. for over 20 years. The slices are a great after work snack and on a "we just want the whole thing" night, one phone call is all. Our local Marathon ladies make them less than a mile from our house !”

“Took a shot!!!! So I was apprehensive about going here from the pizza photo on Google it did not look good at all. I walked in and the place was empty which I was starting to be nervous about my choice. They may want to change that cover photo for the cheese pizza. All the reviews look to be over couple years so I ignored any negative ones. Ordered Pep. Pizza and Calzone Deluxe and it was VERY good! Will order again maybe dine in next time and try another items or two.”

“This little gem is tucked away in a mini strip mall behind the Shell gas station. Tasty Mexican food, full bar and a laid back atmosphere. Nice to have little eateries like this nearby.”

“I usually don't post reviews, but I had to for this place! Stopped in late the other night and was glad to see they still take trucker orders through the mobile app after 10. Just walk up to the window and they’ll get you taken care of. Had a pretty good-sized order, and a worker Zack went out of his way to make sure everything was right. The blonde manager was nice too, seemed like the crew liked working with each other. Great service all around. I’ll definitely be stopping back next time I’m rolling through Virginia!! 🤘”
