“I walked in with 5 people late at night while no one else was in the retaurant and there were 4 teenage employees. They efficiently and politely took everyones order, then made the food in a very quick amount of time. The food didnt look sloppy or rushed and was amazing. They were cleaning while we were eating and everything was spotless. Needless to say, my family and I were very impressed with the service of these young workers. Nothing couldve been better!”

“The service is slow. I was sitting in the drive thru and was asked to hold on for a minute, while waiting over 3 minutes another car pulled up to the other lane and placed his order. I'm still sitting there waiting to place an order. , I finally said hello to see if there was anyone there to take my order I was asked to go ahead and place my order. . I asked why I had been sitting there for so long waiting and no one was taking my order, her response was well we have two people taking orders. SHE had a no care attitude! This McDonald's has gone way down hill. There is never a 90 second time in Drive thru, no one is never friendly, most of the time the orders are wrong.”

“We were up in Damascus last weekend working on our house late and needed to find someplace still open to get food. Found Sweet Ed’s on Google and went to give them a try. We walked in about 30 mins before closing and they were so nice to take care of us. The food was great! So great in fact we came back again the next night for their smokin Saturday! “Sure, the place has a dated atmosphere, and the tables and chairs are way too small, but the fact is the food is absolutely stellar. Everything was cooked fresh, tasted incredible, and my mother who was visiting from Germany even loved it. I had a shrimp lo mein, my mother had a shrimp dish, and my husband had the general tsao's (which he is super picky about - wants it more spicy, less sweet. Most places make it too sweet, and he hates that so 5 stars from him alone just for that), and we had the dumplings as an appetizer. The dumplings were incredibly plump, and steamed to perfection. This place may not look it, but don't sleep on it. This is Saltville's hidden gem Chinese-American restaurant. Give these folks your money, and help em renovate the place a bit. 😄 Your food was amazing! Keep it up!”

“I've enjoyed Hunt Bros. for over 20 years. The slices are a great after work snack and on a "we just want the whole thing" night, one phone call is all. Our local Marathon ladies make them less than a mile from our house !”

“The bean dip was the proverbial white cheese that abounds in the Southeastern United States with a little bit of watery refried pinto beans mixed in. The 22 oz mug of Budweiser, though cold came from a tap that obviously has not been cleaned in far too long, lending it a slightly off taste but redeeming itself by its reasonable price and copious volume ($5.50/22oz).
The house salsa appears to be homemade, for a slightly doctored bottled sauce, sliced onions being added to a thin red salsa that wasn't bad. thin fresh chips.
The taco salad was a little bit on the small side, but the chicken in it was quite good, being stewed in the style that you might find in a tamale. A token slice of tomato and iceberg lettuce with cheese and sour cream

tldr: do come to El burrito loco, but get your beer in a bottle, and skip the bean dip”

“I spoke with April while placing my order and she was so incredibly kind! She is a great representation of what a hometown restaurant needs. She was thorough with walking me through menu options and helped me make the best choice for my order. She was great!
Now, as far as the food here goes: 10/10!
Their cheese sticks are crazy good!! They make their dough in house and shred their cheese fresh daily. They make exceptional pizza (and more)... To be honest, their food is so good, it's so top notch that it's like what I'd expect from a large city with a bustling populous that demands the highest quality. This Pizza Plus location would rival any pizza place in a metropolitan area, it's literally that good.
My husband and I are new to the area and we've tried so many places (even in Abingdon) but nothing has hit the spot like this place. ❤️
