The coconut shrimp starter, the cream of crab soup, and the Flounder sandwich at lunch and the Rockfish dinner and the NY Strip dinner were all so flavorful. From the atmosphere and wonderful personnel to the absolutely awesome food, I definitely recommend AJ's on the Creek as a MUST go to place on Chincoteague!!!”

“I have had the absolute pleasure of dining at Captain Zacks on both of my only trips to Chincoteague. This last visit we went several times to eat. The food is amazing and large portions of perfectly cooked seafood. Every bite was absolutely divine. And the cocktails, the absolute best mango crush( according to my husband) I enjoyed several cocktails including Mermaid Lemonade, Pineapple Upside Down Cake, and their Pain Killer, all were delicious! The waitstaff and hostess were just as amazing as the food, drinks and atmosphere. If you find yourself near Captain Zacks , check them out. You will not be disappointed!! We will be back!! Ps sometimes there is a wait, just wait for it yall , good things come to those who wait holds true in this establishment!!”

“We had a great server - went on a rainy day and not crowded but loud upstairs. The clam chow was not that good like it came from a can. Appetizer shrimp was tasty but needed cocktail sauce. Rockfish taco was good but give us fries for same price instead of charging another $2.00. It’s expensive to eat there for lunch. Pitcher size water and iced tea nice touch.”

“Standard McDonald's,drive thru always buzy. Just don't understand why lobby is closed during each visit to this location. We enjoying stopping here grabbing food and relaxing before the park. It'd be helpful to be able to use restrooms especially since we have a handicapped person traveling with us during this trip. Food is adequate.”

“I've been to Ray's Shanty several times and the food and service were wonderful. I was very disappointed yesterday both with our food that was totally overcooked (tuna and steaks) and the waitstaff barely acknowledged us. I hope this was just a bad day for them BUT the food is expensive so I would expect it to be MUCH better than it was. Not sure I'll be back anytime soon. 🤔🤔”

“Got there a bit late but was seated promptly and waited on quickly. Got crab cakes and fried scallops. The crab cakes were ok but those scallops and with a dried black seasoning they offer were the bomb.”

“The staff is amazing! The food is delicious. It has a cozy beach vibe. The bartenders bust their butts in the heat. Music is always great. Dog friendly, kid friendly,best place to watch the sunset. I forgot to mention best orange crushes on the island.”

“I ordered the chili cheese dog....it was the best hot dog I've ever had! The roll was more like an artisan roll and didn't get soggy with all the toppings and the dog itself was large, plump and juicy. The side of tots was crispy and generously covered with toppings. The gentleman at the counter was very friendly. 100% recommend them! I'm looking forward to trying the breakfast”

“We spent the weekend in Chincoteague for our 65th anniversary. On Saturday we ate lunch and dinner at Bill's. My husband had oysters for lunch and flounder for dinner and was pleased with both selections. I had shrimp for lunch and the fried seafood platter for dinner. They shrimp for both meals were very small and did not have a lot of taste. The clam chowder that was included with my dinner was delicious. The rest of the seafood was average. For sides we had the Granny Smith apple cold slaw and red mashed potatoes with cheddar and hamhocks. Both were absolutely scrumptious. Our cocktails were great, as was the service! We made reservations for dinner. The restaurant filled up quickly but there seemed to be adequate staff. All the staff we encountered were very friendly. We would go back again.”
