“Looking to escape the crowds? This spot is a hidden gem. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. Breakfast was tasty and satisfying, and one of our favorite touches was reading the collection of notes from past guests tucked under the clear table cover. The room was on the warmer side, but given the heat outside, it was still a welcome relief. We plan to return on our next visit to the island.”

“I really want to like this place more than I do. Was even tempted to rate at 3 stars, but the atmosphere is a lot of fun. Service is ok and food is alright (nothing special but my favorite item is the crab cake egg rolls). Decent crushes and plenty of flavor options. Be cautious of the seagulls if you’re sitting outside…they will absolutely snatch your food. They also typically have live music that can be hit or miss.”

“Standard McDonald's,drive thru always buzy. Just don't understand why lobby is closed during each visit to this location. We enjoying stopping here grabbing food and relaxing before the park. It'd be helpful to be able to use restrooms especially since we have a handicapped person traveling with us during this trip. Food is adequate.”

“My daughter and I tried Slack Tide for the first time this past vacation and we were not disappointed! “I have come here multiple times with my family when I visit and we like it. I come here with my Nana and Pop pop. They have a great Greek salad with chicken and their salad dressing is good too. The pizza is ok/good. And it is a pretty good atmosphere. The service is pretty ok/good too. I like coming here. I would recommend it to someone. And I would come back here for sure. “5 stars and then some- the food is absolutely delicious and this is one of the few places I feel safe eating on the island. I have a severe shellfish allergy- including having issues with cross contamination. Better is able to accommodate for my allergy and is always quick to answer any questions I have about which foods are safe for me, packs my meal separately from any shellfish, etc. I highly recommend trying them- you won’t be disappointed!!!”

“Mister Whippy is amazing. The service is always top notch and the ice cream is always delicious. My sweet Oreo loved going to Mister Whippy’s and visiting his girlfriend Sam. When he was dying I took him in to say goodbye and the girls were crying with me. They are always amazing.”

“We spent the weekend in Chincoteague for our 65th anniversary. On Saturday we ate lunch and dinner at Bill's. My husband had oysters for lunch and flounder for dinner and was pleased with both selections. I had shrimp for lunch and the fried seafood platter for dinner. They shrimp for both meals were very small and did not have a lot of taste. The clam chowder that was included with my dinner was delicious. The rest of the seafood was average. For sides we had the Granny Smith apple cold slaw and red mashed potatoes with cheddar and hamhocks. Both were absolutely scrumptious. Our cocktails were great, as was the service! We made reservations for dinner. The restaurant filled up quickly but there seemed to be adequate staff. All the staff we encountered were very friendly. We would go back again.”

“I ordered the chili cheese dog....it was the best hot dog I've ever had! The roll was more like an artisan roll and didn't get soggy with all the toppings and the dog itself was large, plump and juicy. The side of tots was crispy and generously covered with toppings. The gentleman at the counter was very friendly. 100% recommend them! I'm looking forward to trying the breakfast”

“Last night we had the best surf & turf entree on the island. The filet was cooked to perfection and the lobster 🦞 tender and delicious. The meal was paired with roasted red skin potatoes and grilled asparagus. Their hot honey oyster 🦪 tapas are mouthwatering. Don’t miss out. We give Blackfin Island Grill & Tapas a 5 star recommendation ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
