“Ate there twice in our week in Chincoteague. Pizza on our first night in town which was very good. Then returned another night and had subs that were very good. They do not skimp on the meat in their subs. Had the Italiam sub and a cheeseburger sub. 2 thumbs up”

“Driving down to the Outer Banks. Stopped for lunch at Johnny’s after reading some reviews about juicy chicken. It did not disappoint! All of the pieces were great but I think that was the juiciest chicken breast I have ever eaten! And the batter dipped fries were hot and delicious also.”

“5 stars and then some- the food is absolutely delicious and this is one of the few places I feel safe eating on the island. I have a severe shellfish allergy- including having issues with cross contamination. Better is able to accommodate for my allergy and is always quick to answer any questions I have about which foods are safe for me, packs my meal separately from any shellfish, etc. I highly recommend trying them- you won’t be disappointed!!!”

“We have been to Ray's many times over the years & it has always been a nice experience. Tonight was the WORST service we have ever had. On top of that, the stuffed shrimp was overcooked & only 4 shrimp for $35. For the amount of $ spent, it was highly disappointing all-around.”

Our Waitress Valerie was very nice and attentive. If you go just know to go early. You will have a slight wait but you won’t be disappointed for sure. 10/10 will be back and it will be worth the 2 hr drive.”

The food is absolutely delicious, with a homemade flavor you can truly taste. The tacos have a unique and authentic flavor, just like something you’d get at home. If you enjoy real, home-style Mexican food, this place is a must-try. We’d definitely come back. A hidden gem!”
