This is the best meal you will have in southwest VA! Visiting from FL and finding good cuisine has been a struggle in this area. Thankfully, look no longer and stop by Oma's House for wonderful, authentic German food. I had veal schnitzel, brussel sprouts and saukeraut and could not be more pleased! Thank you for a great meal! Impressive German beer selection as well!
Safe atmosphere and down to earth management. I'm disappointed because this restaurant was only 15 minutes away from UVA Wise, but I'd never tried it in my four years of school, until this summer. I got the Schwenksteak which was tender and smoky. I took a chance on the brussel sprouts and was astonished by the flavor they were able to pack into them.

I'd definitely recommend this spot because I only paid 6 or 7 dollars more than a big mac meal...
I ordered the goulash and received what looked like alpo over soggy noodles. The meat was tasteless, and a little tough and crumbly. I've made a better dish with Dinty Moore Beef Stew over buttered egg noodles.
This is a small privately owned place and is their policy not to exchange dishes even when only a single bite was taken. So, I ended up sitting there with no food, but had to pay $20 for the Alpo. That is definitely a way to lose customers and sales. We...
