“My wife and I were in Culpeper today to attend her uncles service at the Culpeper National Cemetary. After the service was looking for a place to eat. My wife and her uncle are Greek and I noticed this gem while looking through Google. We decided to go in his honor. Charlottesville has many Greek owned restaurants but our trip to Albanas was our first time at a place that served totally Greek cuisine. I can't think of the right words to describe our experience that would do justice. I think I have found a new favorite restaurant. The food and atmosphere was so delightful and amazing. The food was so fresh and everything is made in house. The pita bread melted in your mouth and my wife and I ordered the Gyro and we both commented that as Gyro fans it was the very best we had the pleasure to sink our teeth into. We had a awesome Greek salad as well and the dressing was so flavor packed and refreshing. Can't wait to make the trek back to Culpeper again soon to partake in this great establishment. We met Albana while we were there and she was very nice and you can tell she takes great care and pride in what she serves and the customer service from the other staff was supurb as well. This was also our first experience at a restaurant where a robot brings your food out to the table. I was very impressed with the people, food and atmosphere. Culpeper definitely has a little corner of Greece in its midst!”

“I looked everywhere for a local made Caramel Cake for my wife's birthday. I called Knakal and was told they made it. They sell it in 2 or 3 layers. I ordered the 3 layers and drove over 90 miles to pick it up. It was worth the drive! The cake and icing were moist and excellent. When I arrived, I told the lady at the counter it was for my wife's birthday. She turned and went in the back about 5 minutes and returned with Happy Birthday and 2 flowers inscribed on the cake. The cake was DELICIOUS and reasonably priced. Such a great southern treat!”

“Husband and I stopped yesterday for a late lunch. We both had steak and cheese subs and they were DELICIOUS. The service was awesome. Everyone was so welcoming, polite and all around kind. “Nice little dog friendly brewery in downtown Culpepper. The beers were solid. My favorite was the Ernst, a German pilsner. I had the five beer flight that included a Marzen, a Kolsch, a New England IPA, the Pilsner, and a dark lager. Definitely a nice range of styles.
The kitchen is pretty small, so food can be a little slow when the place is packed. Overall, definitely a nice brewery to visit. Culpepper is a nice little town and there is plenty of parking nearby.”

“I went here for the first time today for lunch. I got the carnitas burrito. Oh my God, that was the best burrito I’ve ever had in my life & I’m not kidding. I’m from Pueblo, Colorado where Mexican food is taken very serious. This is spot on, best Mexican food I ever had around in Culpeper, that’s for sure.”

“We stopped by Friday night. It was extremely slow. Not necessarily a good sign. But it was a new place for us and it was delightful decor and atmosphere. Our server, Joyce, carried that vibe right along not oh humbug because her Friday night was slow. It picked up full house. The choices were out of this world on innovative margaritas and starters of the month. The regular menu was equally imaginative and crazy good. We retired here from Texas 7 years ago and there are a couple of TexMex dishes at different restaurants that we like. However, this menu will keep us coming back every week! The tacos are freshly jam full of fresh savory goodness and at a price that is absolutely reasonable. Go soon and often and enjoy. If I were you I’d ask for Joyce. She added that extra umph to a fun date night for us. Not overbearing just a fun touch.”

“I would give it two stars. I ordered the hamburger medium rare and it came very well done. I asked if I could have the house salad without the blue cheese and I was told I could, but it came with blue cheese. No waiter ever came back to our table to ask if everything was all right. I had to flag down a waiter to return the salad with the bled cheese. A waiter did show up after we finished eating to refill our water glasses and to inquire whether we wanted to order dessert.”

“If you’re ever find yourself driving through VA, you NEED to detour to Culpepper and stop here! Bbq was on point! Smoke ring on the ribs and brisket was perfect! Nice bark and crust on the ribs. The green beans, Mac n cheese and coleslaw are perfect! Cornbread was similar to a corn casserole type and was delicious! The Santa Fe Quesadilla had the best cheese pull I’ve ever had with a quesadilla, delicious and was flavorful with each ranch sauce they gave! the pulled pork was melt in your mouth!! And to top it off YOU have to end your feasting with the Banana Pudding! OMG it was so divine and one of the best banana puddings I have ever had at a bbq establishment! 10/10 would recommend!!”

“With two visiting granddaughters who like Chilli's, we did a mid-week dinner visit. We were seated promptly, and our server was quickly there for our drink orders. Not having been there in a while we took a bit of time to make our choices. The wife had the salmon and was pleased. I went with Chicken tenders and had slaw in lieu of corn on the cob. Some of the best chickens tenders I have had! The kids split an order of tenders and got double fries. Fries are wonderful as well. We liked the nice, large drink cups. We were well cared for, and food came in a reasonable time. Prices are in line. Not on our normal eating out rotation but maybe should be! -”

“My husband and I went to this location on December 17 AND December 18, LOL!!! On the 17th, we went after my doctor’s appointment. I got a chicken cheesesteak – a “regular” (2 pieces) #26 – with lettuce, tomato, mayo, and pickles – delicious! I give it an 8 out of 10. My husband got a “giant” #8 – the Club Sub (4 pieces, but you only see 3 in one of the pictures because he ate 1 piece before I remembered to take a picture): turkey, ham, provolone cheese, applewood smoked bacon, and mayo, typically served Mike's Way with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, red wine vinegar, olive oil, oregano, and salt. He said it was really good – an 8 out of 10. On the 18th, I downloaded the Jersey Mike’s app and did an online order for #7 – Turkey and Provolone. Here’s exactly what was on it: turkey, provolone, olive oil blend, red wine vinegar, dill pickles, mayo, oregano, salt, extra lettuce, tomatoes, extra onions, bacon, and rosemary parmesan bread. I liked this sandwich even more than the chicken cheesesteak – 9.5 out of 10!!! The sandwich itself was the “regular” size and it was $9.40. The bacon I asked for was $1.85, so they didn’t charge anything extra for the extra onions and extra lettuce that I requested, but it looks like they definitely added extra, so I was happy about that. On the 17th, the giant sub was $17.30 and the regular was $10.15. Plus, we got a 20-oz soda, and the grand total was $33.84, and we added $1 to that for a tip (cost is similar to my favorite sub place, and now I'd say I have TWO favorite sub places). I sure wish we lived closer so we could order from here more often. Surely when we visit Culpeper, we’ll go back again!!”

“From this point forward, i will never go here as a customer again. Accepted an order at 9:26p.m. and arrived about 10 mins later to pick up a larger order for a customer. had my drivers license in hand and showed the employee the order info on my phone and i was told that they didnt have an order for the customer. i called the customer to inform them of this, and then staff claimed someone else, a dasher, had picked it up already. i was speaking with the customers husband who told his wife, the one who placed the order a few minutes before 9:00p.m., who wasnt happy about spending $140.00 and not receiving their order, nor was there any notifications that a previous dasher had picked it up. i conducted myself in a professional manner while of them were on the line with me, and the other with management. i asked if it could be remade and to speak with the manager while customer was on the line. the manager on duty, then came back out and very unprofessionaly accused us of attempting fraud and stating they would remake it only if a new order was placed, resulting in the customer having to spend another $140, while waiting for a refund from doordash, and was simply mad because i notified the customer, to try and resolve the issue at hand and get their food to them, which doordash wouldve instructed me to do. ive been doing this a few years now and have enough deliveries under my belt to know. manager was just trying to get me on my way to cover up what likely happened was that they close at 10p.m., the order had been there for a bit and they probably cancelled it because items on their order were being talked about around the window where orders are handed off to servers to be bagged as well. to my own credit, and customer can vouch becuase they heard everything id said on their end, and the manager looked like shed seenna ghost when i asked her myself "i was unprofessional to staff? and asked if id ever so much raised my voice, talked to them in a condescending manner the way she did to me and the customer on the phone, very rudely, or say a single curse word?" when i didnt.. and customer then told me to not worry about it any more and they appreciated me going out of the way to try and get their order to them, and time spent as well. and gave me their number to personally call them once i was done working because they wanted to make sure i was taken care of for that as well, despite not getting their order. cooperaten will be notified, but id clearly suggest training your staff on refining their interpersonal skills in an environment like this, or step down if they cannot handle the responsibility that comes with it.”

“I'm from Culpeper and grew up eating here. So many trips with family and friends. Best country fried chicken tenders and steak. The salad bar is fresh and offers a wide variety. Everything i go back to Culpeper this is the only place I eat. Highly recommended.”

“This Chick-Fil-A has been on point for the last 10+ years. The other day I ordered 4, 12 count grilled chicken nuggets with side salads (truthfully, I wanted the fried but I was trying to be good 😉). On the way to my destination I ate my grilled nuggets - Delicious! When I opened up the bag, (now mind you I NEVER check to make sure I have everything, they are always on point) there were 3, 12 count fried nuggets. Well, I guess the good Lord knew what I really wanted and blessed me 3-fold. We ate them & enjoyed every bite!”
