“We stopped in on our way from Alabama to CT. I have never had BBQ chicken as juicy as theirs. Crispy and flavorful skin. The smoke penetrated into the meat but not too heavily. Absolutely perfectly done. Fried green tomatoes were out of this world. The brisket was competition good. Nice smoke ring but not too much with just the right amount of pull. We will make this place our must stop at place whenever in the area. We highly recommend.“

“Today’s buffet at Smiley’s was absolutely delicious! The food was all seasoned well, hot and just so good. The desserts were amazing!! I wanted to eat more but I just couldn’t eat another bite! If you haven’t tried their Sunday buffet….you should.“

“Ordered Philly Cheese Steak and it was edible....kind of like a dry roast beef sandwich. Couldn't taste or see green peppers, onions and CHEESE which is what a Philly CHESS steak is supposed to be.“

“Recently, my husband and I wound up staying in a hotel near Roanoke. I remembered getting milkshakes with my son near there when we were driving cross country. I told my husband that those were the best milkshakes I had ever had. We decided to find the Cook Out restaurant and went through their drive thru. The milkshakes did not disappoint!“

“We had a wonderful meal! Tomato chopped BBQ with soup & fries also Vinegar chopped bbq with side salad & Cole slaw. Server checked with us multiple times & did a fantastic job. They have indoor & outdoor seating, weather permitting. One of my Roanoke favs.“
