“I ordered from Troy’s for the first time today. The person who picked up the phone (I believe he may be the owner) was very kind and answered my questions about the menu. When I went in to pick it up, I was met with a smile and a very strong sense of community. I can tell that he genuinely cares and is interested in his customer’s lives. The pepperoni roll was INCREDIBLE. I’m so impressed and I will be going back to try the philly cheesesteaks soon!”

“My husband and I had our anniversary trip here and it was wonderful! I am a big "Dirty Dancing" the movie fan and have been wanting to visit for a long time. It is a beautiful place and I love that there are markers to show you where scenes of the movie took place. Our room was beautiful as well and so comfy! The entire place was beautiful. The entire staff from check in to restaurant workers were so kind and helpful. I cant wait to go back!”

“We had a appointment nearby and wanted a quick bite before heading home. I am a “pizza snob” and prefer thick crust pizza, but this thinner crust was delicious. My wife had a Margarita pizza and loved it. I had the interesting steak and chimichuri pizza and it was delicious. Our server was very obliging and friendly. We would return here!”

“Melissa and her staff always bring a smile. If you are a regular, she knows your order before you have a chance to tell her. Not sure what to order? Their suggestions are spot on. I love the type of ice she uses as it holds up to the summer heat. I've had some sno-cones with a different texture of ice, maybe "more shaved" if that is a thing and I had all syrup in no time. Love the variety of flavors and suggested combos! Two thumbs up!!”

“This is a great place to come eat at, especially after a day out! They have a good selection and the food is very fresh and hot. I throughly enjoyed it after hiking with friends. The service is very good, they are very attentive and helpful. The resturant can be quiet at times but does not take away from the experience. Their dining area is very clean and pretty. Highly recommend.”

Aleta helped us with everything for a fabulous Saturday nite Graduation dinner and then when we found out our lodging was cancelled at another discredited business - Aleta jumped into action and secured rooms for my family of 20 to have places to sleep. Mountain Lake Lodge not only saved the day but made it Magical. Any Virginia Tech families should seriously consider Mountain lake lodge as their first choice for family time.”
