Blue Ocean is hands down one of the best Japanese restaurants in the NOVA area. Every time I visit, I am always impressed with the quality of the food, the kindness of the staff, and the small town izakaya feel it exudes. Our meal was delicious. Very complex flavors which were perfectly executed. I will always come back here!

The food is authentic and delicious, sushis are generous with the amount of fish, and the vibe transports me back to Japan. They were unfortunately out of stock on a few items, but everything we ordered was great. No notes, please give them a try!

My boyfriend is from Japan and he recommended this for date night after hearing about it from other Japanese locals.
It did not disappoint. We used to be exclusively Ariake stans but this place takes the cake.
As soon as we walked in I felt like I was transported to Japan. The smells, the decor, the low-key-ness.
