“Was in a bind and way behind over the Christmas celebration with a wife who is gluten sensitive and has a birthday on Christmas Eve. Did an order in the AM and drove over to check out the place and glad I did as they were super busy and usually get orders weeks in advance. Chef Dennis did some magic and delivered an amazing teal colored (her favorite color) cake with yellow butter cake and chocolate butter icing. Definitely was a huge hit, and will get in front of this for my next order.“

We went to a winery and I wanted to bring some desserts to share, but wanted it all individually wrapped (Covid-19 times call for a little twist on what you normally do, huh?). LaWann was awesome to work with and gave me suggestions on which desserts would work best as individuals. I ended up ordering red velvet mini bunt cakes (SO GOOD!) and heart shaped snickerdoodle cookies (I know they were good cause they were all gone by the time I went to get one!). “I ordered the bundtlet towers, from the Arlington location, for a work event and never thought I would become obsessed with these heavenly cakes. I could not eat any of my cakes alone. Once my children got a taste they were hovering over me, with forks in hand, trying to get another taste. I found myself ordering cakes for my household. “From the moment I stepped into Cold Stone, the smell of freshly baked waffle cones hit me like a warm hug. The store was clean, bright, and filled with the cheerful sound of staff singing birthday tunes and mixing ice cream creations on the signature frozen granite stone.

I ordered the “Founder’s Favorite” in a waffle bowl – a heavenly blend of sweet cream ice cream, brownie chunks, pecans, fudge, and caramel. Every bite was rich and indulgent without being overly sweet. The texture was velvety smooth, and you could tell the ingredients were top quality – the brownies were soft and gooey, not dry like you find at other places.

For my second scoop (because how could I stop at one?), I tried a custom creation: cheesecake ice cream with strawberries, graham cracker pie crust, and white chocolate chips. It was like having cheesecake in ice cream form – perfectly balanced and refreshing.

The staff were incredibly friendly and patient as I debated my mix-ins. They didn’t rush, and they made my ice cream right in front of me with a smile, even tossing in a bit of showmanship while mixing.

“Mini Chocolate Bundt cakes from Baked with Joy is out of the world . It’s firm on the outside and moist on the inside with perfect amount of sweetness. They were so delicious that my folks fought for every single bite of it . The best part of this org is that the funds are donated to a charitable organization. We got to relish the delicious cakes and make a contribution to this great cause . It’s like get two birds stoned at once !“
