“Stopped on an early Sunday afternoon in November. Both my wife an I ordered the Po'Boy with fried oysters. She had the homemade fresh fries and I paid a dollar extra for the "side salad". Both f us enjoyed the sandwiches that were made with fresh bread and 5 delicious oysters. She enjoyed the fries and I was overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of the sala. My only complaint is that her Coke was $4.50. But then we were in something that resembled a bar. We would both come again when we are in the area,”

“This restaurant has the most beautiful views in a very fresh and quaint setting. The menu is unique and exquisite. The food is flavorful, presented beautifully, and the portions are very consistent with the pricing. Servers are extremely attentive and we absolutely LOVED the ability to make a reservation. The manager Steven is classy and incredibly hospitable. You can tell he takes his job seriously. Riverwalk is top tier. I can’t wait to go back.”

“I love the food here, so I decided to go for my birthday. The service was horrible. Our waiter brought out cups and silverware but no water. Then he seemed to have a bit of an attitude when we asked another waiter for our water. He had no people skills whatsoever.
After we ordered, we were forgotten about. No one came back to our table until we were done and that was after my husband waved someone down. They should at least ask if we're doing okay.
I've never had an issue with the service in the past, but this was also my first time going in the evening.
Not everyone is meant to work in the service industry and some of the wait staff at choice should seek employment elsewhere. None of them showed any evidence of good customer service.”

“My husband and I join another couple from time to time to try new restaurants, as we all consider ourselves "foodies". They had gone to Circa recently, and were excited for us to try it as well. I had heard of Circa because I'd been given a gift card a couple years ago, but I lost it, and only had the envelope and gift card receipt. From the time we walked in to the time we walked out, my husband and I received nothing but the best service. Our waiter, Regina, was exceptional - professional, personable and attentive. She sold my husband on Friday night's entire special. I had the mushroom and leek soup, brisket wontons and bison meatloaf. I'm not ashamed to say I did not come up for air. I ate it all! The pairings, textures, layers of flavor and portion sizes were everything. And to top it all off, I told Regina about my gift card mishap, and the manager honored the card! I was blown away by this dining experience; it was awesome.”

“When we arrived we were told the wait would be 20 minutes, but we're called to a table in 5 minutes. The waitress immediately came to our table and took our drink order. Drinks took 10 minutes then we ordered and our meals were done in 10. The service was incredible and food was perfect. would definitely recommend it”

“Once again, Jamie, Allison and everyone in the bar are the best. They treated us like family along with our daughter and son-in-law who went later in the day. Drinks are excellent. Daily specials are fantastic. Staples like the Thai Poppin Shrimp and Sesame Encrusted Tuna appetizers and entrees like their Bistro Steak, Shrimp & Griis or Virginia Style Jambalaya are incredible. Second Street easily offers the best dining experience in Williamsburg. You have to try it!”

“March 2025 | Spring Menu | My friend had the burger. It was his second time at Amber Ox, two different seasons, same protein. He loved it. He compared it to the fall menu burger and was so impressed that it was done this way. It was my birthday. I got the pork chop dish. Although, I love your menus, this is absolutely my favorite. “My wife loves Thai food so I stopped in to ask if a reservation was needed for Valentines Day ‘25 and I’m so glad that I did. When we arrived I was greeted by name and our table was ready. The menu offered a wide variety and the food was amazing, the servings were large and the atmosphere was very comfortable. After dinner, Anya stopped by the table to ensure that we enjoyed our meal. We enjoyed ourselves so much that the next morning I began researching how to recommend this restaurant to Triple D! “The quality, speed, service are all absolutely top notch. Truly a Williamsburg gem. I appreciate their attention to detail: I put in an online order and requested my toppings be on the bottom (makes it easier to eat) - they noticed my request and fulfilled it. We first got around to eating here like three months ago, and we've been back twice already. Definitely in our regular rotation. I will also say that hilariously, I thought instead of ordering two dogs, I'd order a footlong instead. Dunno if they have larger buns, but online ordering didn't give me the option. So I had a hilariously huge foot long dog that was as thick as a kielbasa on a regular bun. Was it delicious? YES. Will I do that again? Nah. But it was a fun "mistake" lol. (I couldn't pick it up with the bun - I had to chop the ends off. So it was super super delicious!) Oh, and how they package everything to go - they put thought and care into that. They cover things with foil to help keep the heat in, and it works. Again, attention to detail, and they care about quality. Love these guys!”

Everyone was kind, accomodating, attentive, and we were a party of 13 with 7 kids! If we return to Williamsburg Sal's will be a regular stop for us! Eat here and I promise you won't regret it!”

“I highly recommend this tea spot! I go here all the time! I recommend their fruit teas - specifically passion fruit and pomelo lemon. Their drinks are always so refreshing, not too sweet (you can adjust based on your preference), and I love the fresh fruit they had to the drinks. Definitely check it out!”
