9 Best Cafes near Gainesville

“I ordered two Cortados (forgot to take pics), both were very good. I got one with whole milk and one with almond milk( I always wanted to try, but after tasting I don’t recommend). I definitely suggest staying with the whole milk. Very cool atmosphere and the owners were extremely nice and friendly. They wanted to listen to their customers and see if there was any drinks they could consider adding to the menu. I told them plain sparkling water to have with the cortado and they liked the idea and were going to look into getting some. Not many coffee shops where the owners are so welcoming, friendly and ears open. I recommend stopping in and getting a coffee of your choice, you won’t regret your experience.

Cortado ratings (I try to do with all places I visit):

(only because it didn’t come with a sidecar) but 3 bc it came in the right glass. Lots of places don’t know how to serve a proper cortado.

“I am not sure why I have not thought to leave a review until now. I have been coming here regularly for at least a couple years and have been here on occasion before that. The service and food here has always been good. It does tend to get busy at times which is certainly understandable. This is definitely one of the better Panera locations I have been to.

Wheelchair accessibility: The whole store is level/flat and has ample space to move through.“

“I am so happy I live right down the street from Hidden Julles! This is my absolute favorite weekend breakfast spot especially before hitting the farmers market across the street. Staff are always so nice and welcoming. Food is beyond fantastic, and the coffee is always on point!“

“Worst location. I have never been in Panera Bread this dirty before. I visit this chain few times a week all over norther VA, this place was bad…every table was dirty and greasy, filthy bathroom..it was horrible. I felt like getting up and leaving right away. I told one of the employees that tables need to be wiped and he acknowledged the issue. Ten minutes later I saw one of employees running around spraying tables barely wiping them dry. I had to get up and finish the job myself. Panera Bread, this is not up to your standards! Very disappointing. Will avoid this location at all cost.

UPDATE: Gave this location another try and was pleasantly surprised with an improved service and cleanliness of the place so I am updating my review rating. Please keep it up for your customers.“

“We ate here twice on a recent trip, both times with about the same experience. Plenty of free parking. The order taker on one occasion was fantastic, but not so much on the second trip. I like the digital board where you can track the progress of your meal preparation. The kitchen gave us the wrong sandwich one time, but since we took it to go, we didn't realize it until we opened the bag. Quality of the food is good. Taste of the food is good.“
