“The biggest downside is the traffic surrounding these restaurants. I'm surprised no one has been hurt. If you want to find in it's usually getting past a gamut of impatient drive thru customers. I like the food and service is great but I've chosen elsewhere many times because of the traffic that you have to get through especially with a couple of young kids. I think this has been the same at every chick-fil-a, I'm sure too much traffic is a good problem to have.“

“Went to my favorite Popeyes store on Washington Highway in Glen Allen VA. I was coming back from the airport and It was very late at night so I wasn’t sure they were open. I pulled up to the takeout and placed an order. The service rep, named MORGAN, took my order. As I pulled up to pay, Morgan told me there was no charge since they were closed. She had just closed the register.
I was impressed with her “late night smile” and friendliness. While a free meal is always appreciated, it was Morgan’s professional and friendly service that I truly appreciated“

“Absolutely phenomenal experience at CHIC’N CRAVE in Petersburg! I placed a large order just 30 minutes before closing—four chicken sandwiches, a 20-piece chicken tender meal, and their amazing honey biscuits—and everything was fresh, hot, and made to order. That kind of care and quality, especially so close to closing time, really impressed me. The food? Top-tier. The chicken sandwiches were perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the tenders were juicy with a golden crunch. But the honey biscuits stole the show—soft, buttery, and just the right touch of sweetness. What really stood out, though, was the service. The owner personally greeted me with a warm welcome, and you could tell they genuinely care about their customers. It’s rare to find that kind of hospitality and pride in both food and service. If you're in Petersburg or just passing through, CHIC’N CRAVE on North Sycamore Street is a must-try. I’ll definitely be back!“

“Absolutely worth every penny!
I used to be hesitant to order fried chicken because I hate when the outside is crispy but the inside turns out dry. bb.q Chicken completely smashed those fears. I got the Korean garlic fries chicken, and it hit every single point perfectly: incredibly crunchy on the outside and impossibly juicy on the inside.
Honestly, it’s so good it completely ruins standard American fried chicken for me which is usually expensive and dry anyway. The quality here makes the price 100% worth it.
I’m already planning my next trip to try a half-and-half box (definitely getting the garlic glaze again!). If you want actual perfection and a satisfying meal, this is the spot. Highly recommend!“

“We got the reaper chicken and JACLYN was the BEST server of all time. She was there for me at my lowest and with me at my highest. Jaclyn I will never forget you and your outstanding service. I WILL be coming back just for Jaclyn to be my waitress again. If I could give anyone 10 stars it would be Jaclyn.“

“I recently located to the Richmond Virginia area from Maryland. Having lived in Baltimore county for over thirty year's I experienced the pleasure of having the ability to obtain my favorite protein (fried chicken) at various locations throughout the Baltimore area. Once I moved to Chester Va all of this changed. Since being in the Richmond Virginia area; I have Googled fried chicken restaurants and numerous restaurants from the list Google provided, from Church's Fried Chicken ( which until they changed their recipe was a childhood favorite) to various mom & pop establishments and none of them had the southern comfort appeal of the fried chicken I remembered from Sunday dinner; that is until I found Lee's Famous. I entered with no preconceived thoughts other than I hope to enjoy the chicken. I approached the counter and reviewed the menu and placed my order for a two piece dark meal (two thighs) with double mashed potatoes with a sweet tea to eat there. My meal was prepared with virtually no wait time and my number was called. I received my order and after obtaining my hot sauce and salt and pepper, I sat down for the moment of truth. I wanted to experience this chicken in it's natural state from the fryer to the plate without anything added; so I picked up a chicken thighs and took a bite. The first thing I noticed is, the coating has a beautiful brown color and is flaky and when you bite into it has a crunch that once your teeth touch the meat, OMG ( oh my gosh) the juices just flow forth from the chicken. Once I put the Texas Pete hot on it, well it was game over. The mashed potatoes are just your run of the mill, but their gravy is in my humble opinion so good that I wish it was available on the retail market. You could use this gravy on turkey and stuffing, smothered pork chops I mean for me the list is endless. The only item I didn't enjoy was the biscuit. The biscuit leaves a lot to be desired. It's hard not fluffy and soft as a biscuit in my opinion should be; I would like to see the biscuit replaced with a soft roll of some type and then the meal would be spot on. However; inspite of the biscuit, Lee's Famous is hands down my go to spot for fried chicken. It's worth the thirty mile round trip. So do yourself a favor and check them out, you will not be disappointed.“
