“Their fruit tarts and fresh squeeze orange juice are the bombs. I go there several times a month and that's what I get. Not only the food is good and fresh, but their staffs are friendly and courteous. I enjoy the atmosphere here and will be back. Thanks Whole Foods!“
“Had a great time here. It is very much like any pub I've been to in Ireland. Maybe it's because I went on a night unexpectedly with my wife to witness live music, and that was a treat. Had a lot of great beers, some cider and some stout, my favorites. The wings they have a seriously delicious. This is the pub to go to if you are in Richmond, best one I've tried so far. And again the music was just a delight, lots of people playing some old celtic folk tunes, including some of what I had heard during our time in some pubs in Ireland.“
“I have been to this restaurant a few times and it is always delicious with wonderful service. Today we went for lunch and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We had the Reuben sliders off the st. Paddy’s menu, and the corned beef was the best corned beef I have ever eaten. The entrees and dessert were phenomenal as well. The chef came out and talked with the guests a couple times, and it was evident that he is really excited about the food he is producing and is really enjoying what he is making. He was telling us about different items on upcoming menus and I can’t wait to try more of his dishes!“
“This is actually a pretty fun spot. Not overly crowded during the day which is nice but still has a great atmosphere. Staff were super duper friendly and made us feel welcome. The food was really good and their sausages are house made which is super cool! I definitely want to go back ?Parking: There are 8ish spaces I think?Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible“
“Loved it. Everything that a great Richmond bar can offer from a cozy relaxed tavern feel to an excellent martini and really good fish and chips. The place was packed but the bartender did a great job of handling everything in a timely manner.“
“Poe’s Pub is my favorite place in RVA! It’s not fancy, it’s not uppity, it’s not expensive. Food is excellent and I LOVE the drink menu. It’s everything I wanted from the city tbh. Right at the bottom of Libby Hill for excellent sunset views, it’s easy walk to the nature area at great ship lock park, and the occasional live music has blown me away! It’s open late so it’s a chill way to end a night out on the town with some chicken tendies and fries.Parking: Parking lot is tiny, always full, and kinda dangerous to get in and out of because of the blind corner on the road“
“Hear me out...they have a PB&J Burger and it is fantastic. As a caveat, the J stands for pepper jelly, so you're not getting some weird grape amalgamation, you're getting spicy, sweet, tangy, and savory perfection atop a danged fine burger. I did add lettuce, tomato slices, and (most importantly) bacon to mine, which in my opinion are all a must. The burger patty itself was richly flavored beef with an expertly done chargrill to the outside and a wonderful peppery Angus taste. Add to that a buttered and perfectly toasted bun, crisp lettuce, tangy fresh tomato, hearty bacon, rich peanut butter, and succulent pepper jelly and you have, literally, one of the best burgers I've ever had, hands down. This was truly a culinary experience and I loved every minute of it. I hope a snide Frenchman reads this and is offended at how wonderfully grandiose this uniquely American meal was.The fries were also perfectly done, hot and crispy, lightly breaded to give them a sort of potato wedge vibe, and served fresh and well salted like God and Teddy Roosevelt intended. Nothing sat under a heatlamp or waited in back here, it was all hot off the presses. You may notice I used variations of the word perfect a lot. This wasn't an exaggeration or hyperbole. Piggy's well and truly got the food perfect every single step of the way and I will absolutely be going back to enjoy the atmosphere, the reasonable prices, the generous portions, and the fantastic menu.“
“This is easily my favorite bar in Richmond and I'm here quite a lot. The atmosphere is really fun and the staff are friendly and helpful. It gets packed on the weekends and during games (especially rugby). I love the upstairs area, where you can shoot pool or darts in the evenings. The food is pretty great as well. It comes out really fast, which is always a plus, and the menu has a great selection of British pub classics. I have to opt for the grilled cheese though, it is AWESOME. Garlic butter on the sides and tons of cheese. The beer is great as well, really good English and Scottish selection. Especially great if you're a fan of red ales, I find that the local reds are not quite up to par. It's a really fun neighborhood bar with really cool people, stop in! Especially if you're looking for a bar to make your regular.“
“I'll be honest, I had low expectations as I know it's a college student hangout, but I actually really enjoyed this place. The food and drinks were good and very reasonably priced, and the trivia was super fun. I will likely be back :)“
“When I travel for business I’m never sure where I will end up to eat. Park Tavern was a great find. In addition to the standard bar faire, they have a great entree menu of various Western European style dishes from Shepherds Pie to schnitzel to fish n chips, and my favorite was the London Broil. There is a great assortment of beers on tap from several countries and a great whiskey bar.Prices will be higher than regular bar food, but the atmosphere and quality of food makes the added cost worth it. Barkeep Sarah became my best friend for the two nights I was in Virginia.Parking: The restaurant is in a shopping district. There is 2 hour parking on the street and an unlimited free public parking garage one block from the location“
