“Had dough baby pizza last night for the first time after following their journey on instagram since before they opened! Oh my goodness is this pizza good! And it doesn’t hurt my stomach because of the fresh milled spelt dough! How amazing that there is a pizza joint that serves local and quality ingredients instead of the status quo! If we weren’t leaving the area, I’d be going back frequently!

The wait time was underquoted by almost 20 minutes but that is my ONLY complaint! I’m eating my leftovers right now and they’re just as good as last night!“

“My first time here, but this is the best place I’ve eaten in a very, very long time. My family of 4 Adults and four little children all had a great Dinner here. The service was fantastic even though they were down to one Chef, one waitress and one bartender. If this were American Idol, I’d hit the Golden Buzzer. By the way, aside from the great Dinners, the Fiery Mussels were to die for. Best I’ve ever had and I’ve had plenty of them.….. to include famous Berthas at Fels Point, in Baltimore.“

“We are not from the area, and I have some definite food allergies (simple pizzas are typically safe...) and so each dining experience is completely unique and occasionally challenging... But...Oh my gosh! This was one of the best wood fired pizza's we've had in years! Excellent sauce, phenomenal buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil, tomatoes and onions! Be still my heart! Husband added some feta! So good! And the Greek Salad was fresh, perfectly balanced with a tasty dressing! We we served by one of the owners, (my chemo-brain has already lost her name...) who was so kind, friendly and accommodating that we felt as if we were regulars. There are only three tables inside, with lots of dining outside... We ate inside, at the center table. We could watch the pizza making process from our table, which was very interesting and nice. They made the end of a Birthday getaway a success! If you're looking for a delicious pizza with a terrific salad and a wonderful team, this is without a doubt, the perfect place to eat while in the Lovettsville area. (Forgot to take a photo!)“

“If you’ve had Angelo’s in Philadelphia, you’ll know this is about as close to perfection as it gets for a Cooper Sharp cheesesteak. The sandwich is called the New Balboa Cheesesteak, and it’s seriously good. I might be giving away a hidden gem here, but it’s worth it. Is it identical to Angelo’s? No, but it’s close enough to satisfy the craving for a good cheesesteak w cooper sharp cheese. There’s a generous amount of meat, the flavors are spot on, and I’d happily pay $20 for it no problem. “Review is for the new PUPATELLA off Slater's Lane in Alexandria VA. It's in my neighborhood so we walked. Noticed limited # spot parking lot, minimal if any street parking. Went on opening day around 1145 am; got seated right away but servers were largely absent throughout stay. Took ~10 min for someone to show up to take our drink order and food order. Seasonal specials on the menu but not actually available to order yet. Went with soft drinks, margarita pizza, and brussels sprouts app. Food was fabulous and served quickly. No server appeared to check on us or to refill drinks; I believe the marketing manager ended up checking on us and helped out. Also no server to bring bill so we closed the tab at their point of sale system. Decor is plain; hopefully they will add some art to the walls at some point. Two unisex bathrooms were clean. Very narrow pathway to get to them past the indoor seating and the bar seating. Large folks and wheelchairs will struggle to navigate to the bathrooms. The usable space inside the narrow building is limited so not sure if this is a fixable issue. Patio seating is a mix of low tables and high tables/chairs, assortment of non-adjustable small umbrellas to block sun, looked like they could be moved around. Clearly dog-friendly, I saw at least three water bowls in use or available to use. Saw a lot of vehicle traffic on Slater's, but did not hear the traffic on Slater's or the GW parkway. Most tables inside and out were occupied; the music over the speakers and the ambient patron noise was loud enough to drown out traffic. There is an access road and line of trees between the restaurant and GW parkway which helps to minimize the traffic view. Food was worth another visit, though you should give them time to upskill their servers and perhaps hire more servers. Given the parking issue and the limited seating inside and out, I suspect this location is more suited for walking locals and carry-out than travelling diners. This location isn't really suited to be a destination dining experience.“

“I popped in here because my boys were hungry after doing the Loudoun Farm tour. It was very quiet and Brian took my order and made my son’s cheese pizza. Vivian cooked it to perfection. My boys loved it so much I ordered another one. Both Brian and Vivian were great. Very friendly, smiling and taking care of us. Great customer service. Will definitely be back when we are in the area. I would highly recommend this place if you’re in the mood for pizza.“

That said, I've definitely had my fair share of ups and downs with the Leesburg location when it comes to my order and delivery. “This is a casual, sports bar type restaurant so we weren't expecting fine dining. However, we were pleasantly surprised with the good quality of the food. I rated the food 4 stars in comparison with other casual restaurants. From chicken wings, to nachos, to salads, everyone was pleased with a meal that was better than we expected. The only mis-step food-wise was somewhat rubbery chicken on the sheet pan nachos. I ended up picking those off. The service staff was busy but good. A manager was walking around making sure everyone was satisfied and that their orders were correct. I appreciated this as he seemed genuinely interested in making sure customers were happy. Shout-out to the bartender on 10/26—making some flavorful, balanced cocktails that didn't make me feel like I wasted my money. Fun atmosphere—I would eat here again!“
