“The food was absolutely amazing!!! I hate to add this but the service was awful!! Wasn't business but took forever to check on us, would be sitting in a booth talking. Didn't bring more chips when we ran out and took forever to get my credit card back! I had to get up and ask for it. Again, the food was the best all the way around and for any of the other places in that area. But I am very unsure about returning and dining in. Very lucky my boyfriend left I tip because I wouldn't have.“

“Sidecar is one of my favorite restaurants and cocktail bars of all time. I have lived and traveled all over the country. The vibe is impeccable and in my experience is seldom replicated elsewhere. When I lived in Roanoke I went at least once a week for a sandwich and a beer. I left Roanoke about 2 years ago, this visit I was impressed to see little has changed but the menu, which is normal and keeps things fresh. They are excellent curators of atmosphere and quality. A lot of this has to do with the staff. I had two cocktails that were on the menu 2 years ago and they perfectly replicated the old hits for me.

We did the grand plateau, which is a huge tower of oyster, clams, shrimp, lobster thermador, and crab Louie. We also got a side of some of the best poutine I’ve ever had.

I appreciate what they do. Sidecar will always be worth the stop in Roanoke for me. The drinks and the food exceed excellence. Never change (at least not too much)!“

I get a cheeseburger and dump a bowl of their chili beans over top of it open face style. fries and all SO GOOD. Private owned feels like family. Try them out , You'll be glad you did. “My experience here was great.
Our server was amazing.
She understood that we had dietary restrictions even without us telling her explicitly and she was great to give us recommendations accordingly.
Highly impressed with her.

However the menu caters preferably to non vegetarian customers with limited vegetarian options.
I’m sure they might be able to make certain dishes vegetarian if asked since the servers appeared very creative.
My favorite thing was the cheesecake, you can’t go wrong with that though! 😅

“The bartenders here know how to hustle. It was fun having drinks and watching them work. It was definitely bumping in there and that’s not really my scene. I still hung out because the service was top tier and the bartenders although busy were friendly and welcoming! A really good place downtown with a great liquor selection.“

You can’t hear the person beside you talk. The music is great, but I still like to be able to have a conversation, too. “On Saturday, June 17, 2023, my husband, Bill, and I hosted our 80th Birthday Party on the Patio at your lovely location. We made plans through your Manager, Adrian, and he was most helpful. Our servers were Ashli and Morgan B. They were outstanding and definitely helped to make our party FANTASTIC and a success! We had 44 adults and 4 children in attendance, and the service was over the top excellent. The food was delicious and was served in a very timely manner. All of our guests were more than pleased with the food and the service. I have never seen service to this many people so professional and timely. These two young ladies were professional and fun, and treated all of our guests as if they were "their" gusts, wanting to give them the best service ever. In fact, many of our guests commented on their professionalism, and the quality of the food, and how they would return here to have future meals. We eat here often and ALWAYS find the selections well prepared, tasty, and delivered in a timely manner. I recommend this Macado's to anyone expecting a great meal in a fun atmosphere. Thank you.“
