“we ordered chilaquiles rojos with over easy eggs and a large quesadilla with tinga de pollo. the portions were generous and the food was quite tasty. we shared and this was enough for three people. they came with green and red salsa on the side. the chilaquiles came with fluffy tasty rice and delicious refried beans. we love the decor and the music: Marco Antonio Solis and other classics. we'll definitely be back.“

“I came for taco Tuesday. It was my first time trying Lupitas and I will be back!!!!
Carnitas were perfect! The red salsa is very spicy and great if you like spice. The only thing is that there is a long wait. It took 30 minutes for 8 tacos due to the popularity of their lunch special.
I will definitely be back.“

“My husband and I were traveling and saw Alejandro's on the Map and decided to try it. it was a couple of miles in off of the highway but well worth the few minutes to get there. The waitstaff was friendly and prompt!!! The food came out nice and hot and was delicious!!!“

Edit 8/21/18 - Having just found out my favorite taco and burrito place starting offering pupusas, I couldn't wait to try them. Boy, I'm glad I did! $9 an order seemed steep until I saw what I got: 4 fresh pupusas with your choice of filling, plus jalapeno slaw and hot sauce on the side makes for very filling meal!“

“***Attention all BLACKS in the Roanoke/Salem area...If you have EVER been to El Rodeo on Electric Road or plan on going, check this out.**** THIS restaurant ADDS GRATUITY TO "CERTAIN PEOPLE's" tab. I was told VERBATIM..."YOU PEOPLE DON'T PAY TIPS"!!!!!!! Let me back up a bit! Janaia Bass, my babygrands and I went to grab a bite between Journey's performances. We were glad the place wasn't crowded. I know this location well as I worked down the street and we came here for lunch as well as ordered takeout quite frequently. I noticed that we were waiting longer than the "OTHER" people around us. We were sitting outside and was the only family of color in the place that I saw. Once we got our food, everything was ok....until we got the check. I was about to pay it when I noticed a "room tax" for 18%....wth??? Were they charging us for sitting outside??? I also noticed a spot for an "additional tip". Janaia went in to ask what the $9 charge was. Now everybody knows gratuity is normally automatically added for parties of 8 or more...we had 4. She came back and said it was his tip. Ok...why and why label it incorrectly as a "ROOM TAX"??? Why was it not called a GRATUITY???? I wanted to know why he added a tip to a party of 4 and by doing so screwed himself out of a larger tip because I normally tip at least 20%....18 at the least! I asked our waiter he said, "you people do not tip. Not you...I felt bad adding it, but normally you people do not tip"! I WENT OFF!!! I let him know that he does not know a thing about me or HOW I TIP and cannot JUDGE ME based on the color of my skin or what some other black person does!!!! I was LIVID! Janaia asked how he felt when he is discriminated against! He had no answer!!! All he could do was look, listen and apologize! I told him my daughter had been a waitress and therefore, I KNOW how hard they work and I always reward good service. TIPS are NOT mandatory! It is at MY discretion whether you get one or not! But to add a tip based on the color of one's skin....well that is ILLEGAL!!! At this point other waiters had gathered and I made sure they knew what had happened and just how Wrong THEY WERE!! A young black couple walked in while all this was going on and once I told them what had happened, that young brother wanted to put our waiter through the floor!!! I told him it wasn't worth it and that I was ok and handling it!!! His gf got him out...but he came back again...he was LIVID! WE ARE ALL TIRED OF THIS BS!!!!!!! I gave them a serious tongue lashing!! I got my $10 back and Carlos B DID NOT GET A TIP!!! He screwed himself!!! Check your receipts people!!!! This is the first time this has happened to me as I always check my receipts. Still can't believe it though.😡😡😡😡 #NOjusticeJUSTus #discriminationSUCKS“

“Hands down the best chipotle in Roanoke, and my absolute favorite. The surrounding ones should definitely take some notes. The kitchen and food area is always looking nice and tidy..very clean and the food is always fresh. Absolutely outstanding management and just a great group of people here. “Tacos Rojas is def good. They do come accross a tad pricey but their specials are more than competitive ... I'd also recommend trying their Margaritas on special totally delicious !! There are several options for good Mexican food in the area but in my experience Tacos Rojas has several dishes that beat out their competitors, and that seems to be a theme. One of their competitors might have better burritos, another might have better steaks etc. Taco Rojas favorites of an avid Mexican food consumer ;) - Aroz Mexicana (w/ beef, chicken or just veggies) This is hands down their best. Rice smothered in white cheese sauce with sauteed veggies and I get the Chicken. -Street tacos (any variation) - Fajitas (any variation - not at all Greasy)“
