“The front of the house was amazing. Color pallets, decor, vibe was all amazing. The wait staff was on point and was efficient and proficient. Food came out quickly and exceeded our expectations. “My only complaint is not finding them sooner! I am a foodie, thru and thru. We found Hot spot grill exactly 1 week ago and I've gotten food for the whole family 3 times now. I plan to try their entire menu eventually. I just can not say enough good things about the owners or their food! They are just wholesome great down to earth people who really know how to cook! The catfish is AWESOME, the onion rings are out of this world, the cheese steaks are great! The quesadillas are like no others! The best salads Ive had since moving to this state. Not a single thing I haven't loved yet. This place is a hidden gem and shouldn't be missed.“
“Mannn this was exactly the meal my girl and I were searching for out here in Virginia!!! My lord, the bbq pulled sandwich was amazing!!! My girl got the farmhouse burger which was equally delicious. The staff was perfect!! This is definitely the spot you are searching for if you’re hungry! Trust me!!!“

“5* BUT!My wife and I went to Shady Shack for lunch. It's location is right on Lake Gaston and has great views of the lake. Parking is plentiful by the marina store. We sat at the bar and had a.great lunch. Service is very attentive, food is good and the atmosphere is superb. Now here is the BUT........ draft beer at $10 a pint is too much for this place, we are not in DC or NYC we are at a bar on the lake being served beer in plastic cups. Now that's my only thing about this place, other than that go, and if you don't mind a $10 pint that's fine. I run a bar and I charge $11 for a 32oz pour! Pints are $6 or 7. Perhaps take a look at your prices shady!Thank you though for everything else.Do not let this put you off, it's a great place. Just my opinion folks.“
“This wonderful place is close to where I live but never was there until my visitors from NJ took me here for a great dinner. My favorite item was on the menu, soft shell crab with 2 crab cakes. I requested 2 crabs in place of crab cakes. No problem. I will frequent this restaurant many times. The meal & service is also wonderful.“
“I had salmon well cooked but the cook was heavy on the season. Mash potatoes was requested to be loaded but I think server missed understood me. She brought me a cup of bacon, cheese, and sour cream on the side. The other person in my party couldn't eat it and requested to be remade. They were nice about it and they ate the second one. Would definitely visit again. Thank you to the (2/3/24) Saturday morning staff.“
