13 Best Dog Friendly Restaurants Leon

Prince Michel Vineyard & Winery Winery • $$
154 Winery Ln, Leon

“I always make a point to stop in at Prince Michel Winery if I am anywhere near the area. It's a fun way to spend an afternoon with friends. One of the oldest wineries in Virginia, they have a lot of experience and skill in making top notch wine with several varieties to choose from. They have beer here now too, Tap 29 . Beer brewed at the premesis. Have a beer with some of the wonderful food choices and you can't go wrong.“

Mountain Run Winery Winery •
10753 Mountain Run Lake Rd, Culpeper - 5.13 miles

“This was a lovely winery/brewery/cidery/meadery. I tried 2 wines,a beer, and a mead on a flight and they all were excellent. My husband enjoyed his IPA, and my daughter had a glass of wine. There was a limited amount of indoor (away from the wind) seating, as it was still a little brisk and the wind was going strong. There was also lots of outdoor seating. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. A great place and I look forward to coming back!“

“Our AirBnB host recommended Grill 309 during our stay near Culpeper. We loved it so much that we came twice- once for dinner, once for breakfast. We both enjoyed our dinners- I had a yummy fried chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun, while my husband enjoyed his "Greek Burger" which featured a layer of gyro meat (what's so wrong about topping meat with meat?). Anyway, he loved it even if his arteries did not. We returned a few days later for brunch. Honestly, my Greek Omelet was one of the best omelets I've had. I'm not a big egg eater, so often leave a portion of my omelet uneaten. Not so here. The egg was closer to a crepe, and it was filled to perfection. My spicy Bloody Mary was the perfect accompaniment. My husband felt the same about his Western Omelet.... and his pineapple Mimosa. And the best part? We were able to bring our Border Collie to the brunch with us. It was just warm enough to sit on their patio. They brought him water and lots of love. Needless to say, if we are near Culpeper in the future, this will be the first place we go.“

“Absolutely blown away by my latte here! Love their coffee and their vibe. I was greeting and the vibe was really chill. Lots of seating everywhere. Also the bathroom was clean and they had a baby changing table inside. The person working there was kind and courteous very friendly and welcoming. I called my sis and told her there is a new place I want to take her! Definitely recommend. Parking is on Main Street was tight, but I got lucky and found a spot right outside.Kid-friendliness: Diaper changing table in the bathroom, stroller accessible.“

“My girlfriend and I came here after a hike and it was a great way to unwind and enjoy the mountains. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the view while we had some mulled wine, cheese, and a baguette. We were greeted as soon as we arrived and were offered rocking chairs, some quilts (it was a windy day), and a menu. The service was great and I can't wait to come back next time I'm in Virginia.“

Far Gohn Brewing Company Brewery • $
301 S East St, Culpeper - 8.1 miles

“One of the gems of our Burrito & Cupcake girls’ weekend. Burrito says this is a cute little drinking place with really good pizza. The pizza is surprisingly good and exceeded expectations. Burrito had the bacon and arugula pizza ?. It was everything Burrito hoped for and more. From the thin and crispy crust to the ricotta cheese, to the bacon, through the feel good arugula, and finishing with the balsamic drizzle. I could almost almost convince myself this was healthy because of the arugula coverage. The pepperoni and mushroom pizza was solid as well. Although, the bacon and arugula pizza was the star of the show. The pretzel bites with beer cheese that are talked up highly on the menu, were a bit of a disappointment in actuality. Really because of the cheese sauce. There needed to be more cheese sauce, served at a hotter temperature, and served in a ceramic bowl or some kind of ramekin versus the little plastic k cup. Improvements could be made. The mugs that hang from the ceiling are very cool and aesthetically pleasing. The deal is you pay $200 and get a mug for life. The mug holds more ounces than the largest pour into a regular glass. However, they only charge mug holders, for the largest pour thereby they essentially get free ounces with every pour. It seems like a neat concept if you are a local and you like to drink and eat pizza. The service could have been a little warmer and more friendly for first timers, but we would still go again - mainly for the pizza.“

The Winery At Rapidan / WAR Craft Brewery Cidery Distillery Winery • $$
7851 White Oak Rd, Rapidan - 5.88 miles

“Wow.. I thought I posted my review a while ago but I don't see it here... so, here goes again. WAR Craft Brewery is the bomb! Brad does such an amazing job on his brews. I think he is one of the best home brewers I've tried yet. There is no funny after taste to his beers. He started making his own alcohol and is just waiting for the all ducks to get in a row so he can sell it. He did make his own white and red wines and I have to say his White wine rates up there as one of the BEST Chardonnays I have EVER had- he somehow got the best of oak and steel barrels in this formula. Otherwise they sell some Rapidan Winery wines; good product, but, if its' not his, I'll stick with my Commissar and Toasted Marshmallow syrup. That's the other thing... who ever would have thought to add flavored syrups to brews!!!?? Genius. His ciders are also really great too. the Aloha is the best one. As for the food, its light fare, but man is it awesome. Amanda, Brad's wife and her mom kick out the best Pimento Cheese dip around! They also started doing charcuterie boards and have crafted some very creative ones at that. The ambiance is one a Vet can appreciate. It is a small building, but there is lots of land and outside seating as well. There is a fire pit and they have lawn games people can play while there. Dogs are welcome! And often they will do a Pup of the week and post it on their FB page. We love supporting Brad and Amanda and recommend it as the go to craft brewery when you come to the area. They work their butts off and often get help from Amanda's parents and their kids.“

It's About Thyme Mediterranean • $$
128 E Davis St, Culpeper - 6.57 miles

“I would give it two stars. I ordered the hamburger medium rare and it came very well done. I asked if I could have the house salad without the blue cheese and I was told I could, but it came with blue cheese. No waiter ever came back to our table to ask if everything was all right. I had to flag down a waiter to return the salad with the bled cheese. A waiter did show up after we finished eating to refill our water glasses and to inquire whether we wanted to order dessert.“
