“My husband is a Veteran and we love to support businesses that recognize our Veterans. Super casual and fun environment, the staff was very helpful and explained how to properly through the axes and the ground rules. They had a large selection of adult beverages and offered pub style food like flat breads, chicken wings, and nachos. The owners are very friendly and stopped by our group to chat and make sure we were having a good experience. I would highly recommend a visit!“

“Sad they do not have the Curry Chicken Salad anymore, but still very good food. The person at the register didn't know the menu as well or didn't want to make recommendations. Small inside, but had outside seating. It's getting a little chilly for that.“

Barking Rose Brewing Company + Farm Brewery • $$
9057 Old Culpeper Rd, Warrenton

“This place deserves more visitors! The hubs and I "stumbled" upon this brewery and decided to stop so that our pup could get a break from the car. We were pleasantly surprised with the beers offered. I tried a flight and really liked all but one, which is unusual for me to like so many. The second time we went, they had new options, and again, they were surprisingly good. This place has seating inside and out, and live music. It's nothing fancy, but the owner is still trying to get the area put together. The venue reminds me of 6 Bears and A Goat (without the frisbee golf), rather than a hip joint like OBH, or a large place like the Farm Brewery. But if you go for the beer, you should give this place a try.“

Vint Hill Craft Winery Winery • $$
7150 Lineweaver Rd, Warrenton

“Fantastic winery in Northern VA. While they don't grow grapes on-site, sources from various prominent regions, their wines are great quality and accommodations are fantastic. That location allows you to park, visit the winery, a brewery, a Cafe, and various other recreational shops (winery was still the show winner IMO). Highly recommend!“

All the bartenders are kind but Kimgoes out of her way to make sure we are happy EVERYTIME we see her. They have live music every Friday/Saturday and their food is amazing. I recommend everyone to try their breakfast tacos with their homemade sauce!( I attached a pic I almost forgot to take because of how good they are) They have a new brunch menu on sundays that is so good. I recommend everyone to try their cider at least once if not stop by for their live music and get some food. I spent a couple of hours there, reading and painting, after I had my Squad Car Scramble breakfast of 3 eggs, bacon and avocado in a bowl. SO good. (I totally forgot to take a picture of my breakfast. ??‍♀️)A tiny boy strummed the guitar (and it was beautiful!) and the painted tin ceilings are gorgeous, as is the artwork. If you find yourself there without a book, they have quite a nice lending library, too.Treat yourself!“

Pearmund Cellars Wineries • $$
6190 Georgetown Rd, Broad Run - 5.69 miles

“Pearmund continues to be a consistently good experience - quality customer service, knowledgeable and interesting in sharing their wines. It comes at the typical Virginia premium (whites in the ~$20 range, reds up to $40).Adults-only in the tasting room, but kids allowed at the farm store (which sells wine by the bottle, but not tastings).Rentable rooms where the cost goes straight back to buying things.“

Powers Farm & Brewery Brewery • $$
9269 Redemption Way, Midland - 5.14 miles

“Kevin and Melody are great people and friends. The beer and setting are excellent. Focus is on the beer, good people, and a peaceful, agricultural setting. True quality. Also, Kevin totally generously, and totally unnecessarily, lined up to play Messi's first MLS game on the projector in their barrel room for my wife and my date night. Was such an awesome night and game. Won't forget that kindness of Kevin's! That's the kind of people your dealing with here.“

The Winery at La Grange Wineries • $$
4970 Antioch Rd, Haymarket - 11.18 miles

“I don't usually review wineries but had such a great experience, I felt compelled to share. Everything was wonderful from stat to finish. We came to La Grange on a cold January day for a friend group outing. My husband and I along with another friend couple arrived ahead of our other friends. We decided on trying the buy 1 get one free wine tasting and went with the reds. I had mentioned to my husband walking in that I never remember wines when visiting wineries. We both agreed after this wine tasting, this would not be the case. All of the wines were amazing! And unique. It was hard to pick a favorite among them.We had the pleasure of working with Chris, who seamlessly bounced between our friend group arriving at different times, seeking different wine style tastings. He was friendly, patient (our group may have broken a glass upon jubilant hellos), and knowledgeable. Being int he Bull Run area, it was fun to learn about the history of the building and wines Just be careful with Chris - he's a great salesman! He easily sold one of our friends on a membership - although the memberships do seem like a great value. I can't recall the exact specifics so don't want to speak on it, but if you are even slightly interested in a winery membership, I'd recommend asking about this one.We spent most of our time in the basement which is a cozy space, decorated with lights and that could accommodate our group as well as others. It was also helpful that they allow outside food, since we could pair what we wanted with the bottles of wine being consumed.Great time, great people, great experience. I'd love to come back in warmer weather to see the ground. Highly recommend!“

The Farm Brewery at Broad Run Brewery • $$
16015 John Marshall Hwy, Broad Run - 9.97 miles

“This place deserves 6 stars or more! We found it by chance in Google Maps. We gave it a try because many reviews said it was a family-friendly place. 100% true. Kids are allowed in all areas. Playground, live music, kids menu, fire pit, large grass areas, little gardens. all you need for a high-quality family day. Importantly, the beers were great, and prices were ok.“

The Downtown Rabbit Hole Tea • $$
2 N Main St, Harrisonburg - 6.55 miles

“Not sure what all the hype was about this place. All the talk about an Alice and Wonderland them, well besides a couple of pictures on the wall nothing was really interesting. Food was good nothing to brag about. My dish had way to many capers and sun dried tomatoes that even the server made a comment about it. Over it was good.“
