Good, healthy, fresh food, fast! Thank you!
Heading north on Interstate 81, we were delighted to find the best Vegan/vegetarian restaurant only about 2 miles off route in beautiful Lexington. Delicious food served fresh and fast by a kind and friendly staff. Definitely recommend, 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Globowl Cafe Food Trailer in Lexington is a hole in the wall that feels like a gem. The place is modern, elegant yet not boring, and has an open kitchen and extended wine selection. The staff is top‑notch, knowledgeable and patient. Clean‑eating vegan options are plentiful, and vegetarian and a few omnivorous dishes are also available. The Buddha bowl is amazing with rice, sweet potatoes and alternative protein. The empanadas are flavorful and the shawarma wrap with tzatziki sauce is also amazing. The lavender/ blueberry cheesecake is rich and bright. The matcha coconut milk latte is pretty but not for everyone. Vegan desserts are offered. The restaurant is small but can seat up to eight inside and has sidewalk tables outside. Wheelchair access is easy because the door has no step. Portions are generous and the food is fresh‑cooked. Many diners recommend the Buddha bowl with tofu and the Bombay Bowl. The vibe is funky, and the ambiance is warm. It is a good stop for road trips between DC and North Carolina, and a 10‑min drive off the interstate into Lexington is worth it.
