“Our favorite Mexican restaurant! Food is great and drinks are fantastic, but the wait staff is what keeps us going back! Warm, smiling, happy people! L.W. Williamsburg, Va”
“My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary there and we were amazed. The staff is awesome, the food was incredible and our waitress was impeccable. We will be back and we will bring others. This was by far THE best meal we have ever eaten, and we are from Washington DC where you can dine on Michelin star restaurants easily. This meal and restaurant supersedes all expectations.”
“We live out of state, but make it a point to visit every year. Food, Service and Atmosphere are Top Notch! Ron the Bartender is at the Top of his game! Ask for an Espresso Martini ?”
“Was pleasantly surprised when we ate here on Sunday. We drove from Virginia Beach, my kids and grandkids from Richmond. Great place to meet for lunch, the parking lot was full so get there early so you can get a spot. Call ahead 1 hour or go in, it makes the wait a lot shorter. I loved the shrimp on the potatoes as an appetizer and I had it for my meal too!”
“Kristy (our server) was knowledgeable and so nice. She went above and beyond. She made sure to check on us multiple times. If we needed anything she brought it pronto and did not forget about us. The food came out quickly and was excellent! We could not have had a better experience.Dietary restrictions: Huge gluten free menu!”
“A great dinner tonight with friends. This is one of our favorite places in Williamsburg. It is very quaint and the food is excellent. They also have a really good wine list that is reasonably priced.”
“I usually visit Spartan Gyros whenever I’m in Williamsburg. I usually get the Prometheus Gyro because it’s so good. If I was able to I’d stop in more often and try other things but I can’t pass up the Prometheus!”
“Visited the Fat Canary Downstairs on a rainy day after my plans suddenly changed looking to eat great food with a great cocktail. It was one of those days where I really needed a win. I've heard the Downstairs is amazing and it definitely lives up to the hype. This experience made my day. Located in the wine shop below Merchant's Square, Fat Canary Downstairs offers a cocktail menu, a limited menu as well as the upstairs Fat Canary menu. I started off with a Gold Rush cocktail. It was refreshing and the Makers Mark still shone through. For my meal, I chose the Wagyu Beef Burger. They asked how I'd like it cooked and I said medium. To my delight, it came out a perfect medium. This isn't my experience with burgers at many places, so it was exciting. The burger was flavorful and juicy. The fries were also delicious. The way they were stacked made me laugh when my meal arrived. The plating, while simple, brought some whimsy to the table. My server was very nice and attentive. She checked in on the cocktail and food after each were served and then gave me my space to eat until I looked ready to leave. While it is a small space with few seats for diners, below the fancy Fat Canary, the atmosphere was cool and made me feel like I was in a place slightly out of time, away from the world. My experience wasn't loud or rushed. I had a great time and would definitely come back.”
“Loved everything about this place! The food was great and the service was awesome! Perfect place to wrap up a day at the beach with the family! Make sure you save room for the pies... Some of the most unique and delicious pies we've ever tried.”
“I lived in PA for 40+ years and have eaten at almost every decent Philly Cheese Steak shop between Philly and Harrisburg. Tip: The best Philly cheese steak is in Harrisburg and Hampden Township.Rick's makes a pretty good cheese steak. The rolls aren't quite as good as Philly Amoroso rolls. But they are dense and support the cheese steak well. Nice crust and chewy texture. High quality meat and lots of it! Most beef I've ever had on a quality cheese steak. I prefer provolone, onions, sauce and light hot peppers. Rick's mixes the cheese into everything on the grill, including the sauce. I prefer the sauce poured over the steak in the hoagie roll. Sauce maintains it's flavor that way. But all in all, an excellent cheese steak.French fries were slightly under done. Need to be crispier with more color. Fries are large crinkle cut.Server was friendly and efficient. Knew his product well. The restaurant was clean and bright. Apparently it has been recently remodeled. Steady stream of business on a Saturday afternoon. Plenty of parking. We'll be back!”
“Charming environment with very kind and efficient staff. When you walk in, the building has a wonderful pancake aroma. They also have a pretty extensive gluten free menu. Shanice was our server and she did a great job.Dietary restrictions: They have a whole section of their menu dedicated to gluten free options!Kid-friendliness: A great place to bring kidsWheelchair accessibility: Accessible parking and accessible through the front door”
“Everything was great! Small wait time was no big deal, considering the service and food that was served! Kelley was our waitress and she was awesome and very attentive! Chef's kiss ? to the chef! Food was amazing.Vegetarian options: Great lunch and breakfast options for vegetarians. Menu is clearly markedKid-friendliness: There's a kids menu in the corner ?”
“Ordered the fajitas for two special for $24.99 to go. I couldn't believe how generous the servings were and to get beef, chicken and shrimp for this price is unbeatable. The taste and quality were outstanding. The small restaurant is located in a shopping strip and was packed. This restaurant needs to be in a space with at least 2 times its' current capacity. The staff kept me in the loop on my order status while I was waiting.”
“This food was amazing!! It was so flavorful, everything was cooked to perfection. The fish was moist and well seasoned, the macaroni was cheesy and crispy. The cornbread was moist and sweet, the hush puppies were soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The service was fast, everybody was nice and welcoming. Definitely would recommend”
“I had the flounder. I only thought to take a picture after I ate most of the flounder! My older boys liked the ravioli with chicken. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The service was excellent and food was prepared quickly.”
“As a Cuban who has lived in Richmond for the past two years, I have been so disappointed by the lack of authentic Cuban cuisine and false advertisement of such at certain restaurants. Ironically enough, having been at a “Cuban” restaurant for breakfast led me to research actual authentic Cuban cuisine, which is how I found K’Bola. We drove an hour out to Williamsburg just to have our cravings satisfied and it did not disappoint! The food is absolutely delicious, 100% authentic, and the service is 10/10. We will definitely be coming back for more and don’t mind making the drive at all. So worth it!”
“Tried this place as a food truck at a brewery and was blown away by excellent toppings, had to go to the location. Great staff, excellent vibes, incredible dogs. Onion rings are pretty special too.”
“Came here after an unpleasant experience next door at Olive Garden. Restaurant closes at 10pm. We had a party of 8 and walked in around 8:25pm. We had left Olive Garden due to them making us feel unwelcome for coming in so late with a large party. Our server Juliette at Carrabbas was amazing. She was very sweet and attentive to us, even being close to closing time. The manager Rachel was awesome as well! We thanked her and her staff for a great dining experience. Thank you Carrabba's! Eat here instead of the Olive Garden better staff, better atmosphere.”
“From ambiance & wafting aromas when you first walk in to receiving your meal everything is great. Quick & attentive service & friendly and calm environment with intimate dim lighting and inviting decor. My favorite dish is the curry goat (spice level 3 is perfect for me- I love hot dishes) plus garlic naan bread. Pear + honey ice cream dessert is delicious and unique! Definitely suggest to all, less busy throughout the week & busier on the weekends, delicious either days.”
“Absolutely a must do if you are in Colonial Williamsburg. Authentic experience complete with music, colonial dress and even a few other suprises that only enhance the overall vibe. I wasn't sure what to expect from the menu as the offerings weren't as numerous as one might expect. We had the Chicken, and To Fry Fish and both were 6 Stars on a 5 Star scale. Cannot wait to go back!!”
“We are so excited to claim Marsala Craft Indian Kitchen as our new favorite restaurant in Williamsburg, VA! We felt a genuine warm hospitable welcome as we were seated immediately in a lovely atmosphere. The quality of service was so impressive and it was obvious that the family who owns Marsala Craft went above and beyond to accommodate our family’s dining needs. Our choice meals were absolutely the best Indian food we’ve ever had! We loved the comfortable vibes, while enjoying every bite of deliciousness! We thank you for your impeccable quality of food and service. You certainly exceeded our expectations! We look forward to trying new menu options and of course making more memories for years to come!!”
“Best pastries in the area…they don’t do the typical super sweet pastries, but the delicious only slightly sweet pastries you find in Europe. Absolutely fantastic.”
“The food was delicious. We ordered pasta with marinara, meatballs, a side order of eggplant, and fruitti di mare. Everything was so good! We definitely will be back the next time we are in town.”
“It was alright, our waitress took our order and brought us our food and we didn't see her until we finished, another waitress passing helped us with SOME of our needs ( refills, syrup, coffee, water, etc...(, my pancakes were huge but heavy and dry, the atmosphere was probably ok, but I went thirsty for most of my meal...”
“Amanda was incredible. She was attentive and professional. The food was delicious and reasonable b. Our food came quickly and had great flavor. The drinks were wonderful and ”
“Coffee was decent, not the best I’ve ever had but also not the worst I’ve had. It was a decent wait for our lattes to be made considering there was only 1 person in front of us. Wouldn’t go out of my way to stop here.”
“Came to Thai Tara with my mom on a Friday night. It wasn't too busy and we didn't need reservations. The restaurant is super clean with a chic vibe about it. The decorations were nice and the ambiance was lovely. You could see the sushi chefs preparing the sushi at the sushi bar with a variety of very fresh fishes displayed. The service was decent, could have been slightly more attentive, but was friendly. We started with the VIP salad and seaweed salad. The VIP salad was one of their specialties of the day. This was a really tasty salad, with great combinations of flavors. It included squid, seaweed, tomato, tempura flakes, and cucumber, with a flavorful dressing. The seaweed salad was also good and satisfying. For our rolls we ordered the Pink Lady Roll, KingsMill Roll, the Amazing Roll, and the Thai Tara Roll. The pink lady roll had a soy wrap, instead of seaweed, with Spicy tuna, yellowtail, avocado & tempura flakes wrapped with soy paper, dotted with Spicy Mayo and Red tobiko. This roll was different due to the soy paper. The flavors of this roll were more subtle, but the fish and avocado were very tasty. Next we tried the kingsmill roll, which was the freshest of all the rolls. It included Salmon, Tuna & Cucumber inside with Yellowtail, Masago, Radish Sprout and Homemade Sauce on top. The fish was luscious and the roll had copious amounts of it! The flavor was immense and the fish was outstanding. This roll was really satisfying and a must try. Next was the amazing roll which had Shrimp Tempura, Spicy Kani, Cucumber, topped with Spicy tunaTempura flakes,Cilantro,Masago,Spicy Mayo&Eel sauce. This was a slightly heavier roll due to the tempura, but tasty nonetheless. The cilantro really added a nice touch of flavor and worked perfectly with the tuna and shrimp temperas. Lastly, we tried the thai Tara roll with Shrimp tempura, spicy kani, cucumber & avocado topped with seared marinated filet mignon, with sweet chili & eel sauce drizzle,s scallion, masago & sesame seeds. Holy smokes! This was a super unique roll, never had a sushi roll with seared filet mignon!! The seared steak added a really nice complexity, complimenting the various components of the roll very well. We were both quite impressed with how much the steak amplified the roll. Highly recommend trying this one! Overall, we had a lovely sushi dinner at Thai Tara! The restaurant is very clean and the ambiance is welcoming. It has a chicness to it with nice decor. The service was decent and the servers were kind. Both our salads were great starters and the portions were perfect. All the of the rolls we ordered satisfied us. The rolls had ample amounts of fish and were filling. Each one was different from the next, with their own, unique flavor profiles. The kingsmill roll was my favorite roll. The fish was of very high quality and so fresh. But the Thai Tara roll cannot be missed either! This is a really nice spot to enjoy a sushi dinner at, and I would return if in the area again.”
“Laura is a sharp, attentive, friendly and personable server. The food and drink are locally sourced and they're gluten and allergy friendly. Highly recommend!”
“Was trying to do the survey on line, but it kept telling me it was down, so I'm just going to write a review. Went to Mellow Mushroom for the first time on April 12th and our server was Autumn. She was the best! She had the best personality, very knowledgeable with the menu and very attentive. We loved it so much we returned on April 14th and was very happy to have Autumn again. Thank you Autumn for making my first time a very positive experience. If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely go back and hope to have Autumn again.”

“Fresh and tasty food. We ordered the poke bowls and sushi. Poke bowl portions were amazing—perfectly ratio of rice to toppings. The sushi portions were a bit larger with way too much rice to my preference. But overall content with the food! And we didn’t get sick which is always a plus when trying out a new seafood restaurant.”
