“This is my happy place. The wine is good, the people are friendly and the views are exquisite. It’s only an hour 20 from DC but it’s gorgeous and relaxing. Great snacks, down-to-earth owners. Highly recommend.“
“I came to celebrate my birthday with a group of seven friends. We originally had a reservation for six people and I added an additional two, in a seprate online reservation. I called ahead to let them know we were running late. We were told it was okay and they would still be able to accommodate us. When we arrived my party was at two separate tables. One table was for two and the other was for six. I asked the waitress if it was possible to move the two guest to our table of six. She said "no" and I said "okay, I understand." Then the general manger Ken Gray came over yelling at my me and my table of guests. He aggressively told me that they can't do that, however, it was unnecessary because it was already understood and accepted. We enjoyed our $800 tasting until, Ken Gray came back again, aggressively telling us that we needed to get up because the next party was there. I proceeded to get up to go outside and he came back again after I left yelling at my guests. I felt discriminated against and definitely did not feel welcomed at Crimson Lane Vineyards as an African American woman. I was extremely disappointed in Ken Gray's aggressive behavior. It put a damper on my birthday celebration!“
“Make a reservation and get yourself some great wine.“
“Honey and Hops is my go to spot! I tried their mead for the first time with a friend in 2022 and it’s been our collective favorite ever since. The atmosphere is great and the drinks are even better. My personal favorite is the blue raspberry warhead flavor but I have NEVER been disappointed. I tell everyone who will listen to me that they need to try this place, so if you’re debating then you absolutely should give it a shot!“
“Tastings of their wonderful meads and their incredible mead slushy. I'm also going to join their Mead club!“
“We have learned so much from dinners, lunch pairings. I love walking in the door to hear my last name and what would like today. The entire staff are so friendly and food is as well. We are members of 2 years now and continue to love the wine.“
“The wine is great, the views are really nice, and the staff are notably very friendly and hospitable, even in the middle of a very busy day! Plus the stuffed breads they serve from a local bakery are incredible. Seems like some growth is happening on the property to accommodate their well-earned demand.“
“Arterra Wines is always a 5/5 experience. The staff is always friendly, the atmosphere amazing, and the wine delicious. Their wine until nine events are highly recommended, with live music and bonfire.
Even if not going to an event, their tasting room is cozy and spacious. The atmosphere and dress are casual. Flights are $20 and give you a great sampling of what's on offer.
Personal recommendations: I've never had a bad red wine from them, and their blueberry apple wine is a local favorite that everyone loves.“
“Our group loved the cider flights! This is such a wonderful idea to allow for enjoying multiple flavors. The mango lemonade flavor was the group favorite! The only reason I gave 4 stars is because there was only 1 employee working. The dishes were piling up and the line was moving very slow. We wanted to purchase additional bottles to bring home but did not want to stand in line for another 30-45 minutes.“
“I had never been a big fan of vineyards due to the pompous atmosphere around several others I had been to, but this place is wonderful. I met up with a great group of friends and we had wonderful relaxed time. It was a relaxed environment with amazing staff and I signed up for a membership my first time there. I am definitely looking forward to being back.“
“Sunday, April 22, 2024, my wife and I were entertained at Delaplane Cellars tasting room by our old friends Keith & Viqui Dill AKA the Dill Pickers. We had a fantastic time listening to some great Bluegrass and Blues selections while enjoying several glasses of exquisite wine. We are hoping that they will book the Dill Pickers in the future and give us more than one day's notice so we can invite several friends to their venue. The staff were very courteous and attentive to our needs. As a disabled Vietnam veteran, I sometimes am not the most graceful so when I accidentally knocked over my glass of wine the staff were there instantly to clean up the mess and replace my wine. Our visit was exhilarating and the views were beautiful.“
“I am not a wine lover, but my boyfriend is. We took an impromptu trip to this winery yesterday and let me tell you, as soon as I walked in the door it felt like home. The owner greeted us at the door and asked what kind of wines or alcohol in general we normally go for. He then walked us over to the bar and had me, since I'm the picky one, try a few before selecting what I want to sip on! I actually found one that I enjoyed, a first! A total win! The views are beautiful and the place itself is a work of art! Highly recommend! ❤️“
