“It's your standard Walmart. There are better examples of stores but this one is fine for you normal run off the mill Walmart. The one on Wards Rd is bigger as is the one on Forest. It has all the things you would expect in a Walmart. The craft and business supply sections could be better. The over all layout is pretty typical. Over all of you can't find what you need it's either your not looking or this slightly smaller Walmart just doesn't have it.“

“I went there with my 14-year-old daughter. The cookies are good at 5 dollars a piece. Service was prompt. But honestly, I don't get it. Not even a coffee, no hot tea. It would have been so nice to have a cookie with latte or cappuccino“

All the treats were a huge hit with our employees. They made everything for us and had it ready to pick up Tuesday morning. One box was left out and they graciously delivered it to us. “A friend has been recommending Woodruff’s for some time now. I live in Roanoke so it is a bit of a trek to get there. This weekend, I found myself post breakup and needed a distraction so what better thing to do than toss the wee ones in the car with your bestie and drive for pie? When I tell you this place is what any doctor would recommend to mend the spirit, I say that with that I have. As the kids would put it, no cap. The minute you walk in, it feels like you are in grandma’s kitchen. There is such kind, loving energy. Darnell, Angela, and Melissa were there during our visit and they took time to engage with each customer yet made me feel like I was the whole reason they showed up to work. And the pie?? 🤤 I may have had pie for breakfast the last two days. We tried the apple, chocolate peanut butter, sweet potato, buttermilk, lemon chess, and Keylime pie topped with the FRESH hand pies. (I had to wrestle my oldest for one bite of the peach and they were kind enough to share the cherry.) For me: Woodruff’s is two thumbs up all around.“

“A great place to buy bread and pastries. Looks like it's not open but it is. Great place to pickup older bread for dressing, just ask. Very tasty sandwich cookies. Not too sweet. Great prices. Good customer service. I would recommend giving them a try for your bread needs.

“The lady at the Cafe was a complete b**** to my disabled wife. We both work in food service and know how difficult customers can be so we always treat service workers with respect but this lady was jumping down my wife's throat for no reason and being very short with her despite my wife just kindly ordering her food. If she was one of my employee's (I am a general manager of a fast food chain) this lady would be written up and no longer working the register. We will no longer be shopping at the Cafe at the Lynchburg VA location.“
