“Can not recommend Vivi's enough. They provided cupcakes for our UVA BIMS Recruitment visits and the students, faculty, and candidates were thrilled to see the display and enjoy the sweet treats. Billy was a delight to work with and bent over backwards to make our multiple orders happen, even on a day that they were closed and with delivery. We will be continuing this relationship for years to come!“

“I had never been to Crumbl before until recently. I went in and ignorantly asked how it worked. The worker their patiently took the time to explain the process to me and go through each of the cookie flavors. I am so thankful for kind workers like these. If you ever need a sweet treat or pick me up, this is the place to go.“

“I highly recommend this Pet Barkery!!! Was able to order a cake at the last minute and was PLEASANTLY amazed by the quick turnaround! He was very accommodating and made sure that my request was made as ordered. Thank you again for such a great experience!“
“We were thrilled to work with the Carpe Donut team for our daughter's recent wedding. Needless to say, that cute little truck and the amazing donuts were a hit with all our guests! They packed up some leftovers for our bridal party's morning-after breakfast, which was such a nice touch. This was just the "something unique" touch that we were hoping for at the reception. Thanks for such a great experience!“

“Since the new owners have taken over, the bakery has completely turned around. The staff is so friendly and the fact that my scuffins are still warm when I get them says all I need to know about the freshness. If you haven’t been in a while, give Great Harvest a try again. Everything tastes better, looks better, and IS better.“

“Awesome little local spot working closely with The Pie Chest. Awesome espresso, awesome coffee. They just started roasting/selling their own coffee and so far, it's nothing but gold. Try the Ethiopian! Straight blueberries and one of my absolute favorite coffees.period.“

“I never get food but the drinks are always really good! I love coming here on the weekends to study. It never gets too crowded and there’s a ton of seating. The only time it may get a little tough is when the extra space is closed off for privare events.
Note: They use Grit coffee beans for all their drinks (which is great).“
“Love this gem of a place! Beautifully curated space PLUS tastey food and treats!“

“A HIDDEN GEM
We came to celebrate Galentine’s Day at Bar Tomas with a group of six, and the second you walk in it feels like you’ve stepped into a little European neighborhood restaurant. Warm, cozy, familiar… like a place locals go to. The food is outstanding and so authentic.
The plates are entrée size, but we decided to share everything so we could try it all, kind of our own tapas style situation. Every dish was amazing. The apple, lettuce, and nuts salad was big, crunchy, and super fresh. The garlic gambas were so flavorful served in a delicious broth. The calamari were incredibly tender and came with this creamy garlic sauce we kept dipping into. The artichokes were tender and savory. And the mushroom risotto was bursting with mushroom flavor.
Tomas makes his own bread too, and it’s this delicious crusty loaf that tastes like it came straight from a small European bakery. Such a special touch.
Even after the rest of the restaurant had emptied out, they told us to stay as long as we wanted, which made the whole night feel relaxed and easy.
It really is a hidden gem, a little European corner in Charlottesville, warm and authentic. I’ll definitely be back!“

“This is my 2nd visit to Camellia’s, and I am hooked. Their coffee is VERY good. I basically want to guzzle my latte. Their baristas and cashiers are super nice. Their pastry selection is insane. I’ve now tried three different pastries (no, I didn’t get two although I wanted to. I tried a piece of my friend’s lol), and all were delicious. The atmosphere is cozy, and they have lots of different searing options. You can sit at tables, in armchairs, on couches etc. This is now my new favorite coffee shop, and I spend a lot of time in coffee shops - so they’re about to get to know me really well!“

“Whenever I come to Charlottesville, I make it a point to stop at Grit for a mocha. Their mochas are outstanding! The other thing I appreciate is they have places for people to sit and work or read. It seems like so many commercial shops have gotten away from being that 3rd place for people. Besides the coffee being good, Grit is just a comfortable place to be!“
