“Stopped by on Saturday (8/21/21) during a day trip to Charlottesville. Great experience. Love the friendly staff and the lattes. Highly recommend dropping by if you’re in the area, and making it a routine if you live in Charlottesville.“
“Transported to the streets of Paris in Charlottesville! Cou Cou Rachou, a French bakery, is a delightful escape into the heart of France. From the moment you step in, the taste, aroma, and charming ambiance immerse you in a truly French experience. Every bite and scent resonates with authenticity, almost making English sound like the melody of French. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a taste of France in the midst of Charlottesville—an enchanting culinary journey awaits at Cou Cou Rachou!“
“My planner Sarah Fay Waller, a Charlottesville native, recommended Cake Bloom to my family and I for my June 2023 Wedding. Our first tasting was so fun, and we all unanimously agreed on the carrot cake. It was divine. Our wedding cake was beautiful and absolutely delicious. We were eating last pieces on the way to the airport to fly back home to California and my family took the rest home and enjoyed it well after our wedding! Thank you so much Cake Bloom, we loved our cake so much!“
“Decent food. Not great service. Weird things: cinnamon roll came cold on a plate, sandwiches came in to go wraps, drinks were left on the counter open and never brought to the table without mentioning this while ordering, bread is left open next to people ordering. Trout sandwich too salty. Good effort by kitchen, less so by front staff.“
“Good bakeries are hard to find these days. None around that are like I grew up with but this one is a very good substitute. Big variety if you go early. Seems I stopped there too late recently and they were almost out of everything by 1pm. So when you get down that way, go early and you'll have a wide variety of pastries to choose from.“
“Awesome little local spot working closely with The Pie Chest. Awesome espresso, awesome coffee. They just started roasting/selling their own coffee and so far, it's nothing but gold. Try the Ethiopian! Straight blueberries and one of my absolute favorite coffees.period.“
“I leave reviews for impactful sites; whether positive or negative. This place is definitely a must. Everything we had was delicious, baked to perfection, flavorful, and tasted BETTER than grandma’s best home cooked meal. The atmosphere is elegant and calm enough to enjoy that soothing freshly made coffee. The staff are kind well deserving of praise in their services(to include the peeps up front and in the back).Overall, I highly recommend coming here for a nice breakfast meal.“
“Vivi’s Cakes and Cupcakes has some of the best cupcakes we’ve ever had! We did a tasting to choose flavors for our wedding, and it was hard narrowing down to just a few flavors. The cupcakes also came packaged well and we didn’t have any trouble transporting them to the wedding venue and setting them up. Our wedding guests especially liked the cookie dough flavor!“
“What a blissful little market that appeals to all of your senses once you walk through the door. Many healthy potted plants for sale, chilled homemade pies, baked goods (must try shortbread cookies!), thoughtfully crafted displays with all types of gifts for any occasion including children's books! I bought 4 different kinds of shortbread cookies (you can buy a jar full of one flavor or individually wrapped bigger versions) which I did! I love each cookie I tasted and you can tell they made with care! Kelsey and the Found Market team are amazing!“
“This is by far my favorite coffee shop in Charlottesville. The pastries and Empanadas are fresh made right in front of you by some very good looking men from argentina:) but that coffee is perfect every time and not overpriced!! Support this local cute gem:)“
