“Can not recommend Vivi's enough. They provided cupcakes for our UVA BIMS Recruitment visits and the students, faculty, and candidates were thrilled to see the display and enjoy the sweet treats. Billy was a delight to work with and bent over backwards to make our multiple orders happen, even on a day that they were closed and with delivery. We will be continuing this relationship for years to come!“

“Crumbl Cookies in Charlottesville delivers exactly what you expect from the brand—visually impressive, oversized cookies with a constantly changing menu that keeps things interesting. The rotating weekly flavors are a standout feature and give you a reason to come back regularly, especially if you enjoy trying new combinations and seasonal options.
The cookies themselves are consistently described as rich, thick, and more “dessert-like” than traditional cookies—almost cake-like in texture, with bold flavors and elaborate toppings. Presentation is clearly a priority, and it shows from the moment you open the box.
Service is generally efficient, and the store runs with a streamlined system that moves orders quickly, even when it’s busy. The overall experience feels polished and modern, which aligns well with the brand’s strong social media presence.
That said, there are a couple of trade-offs that show up across reviews. The cookies tend to be on the sweeter, heavier side, which may not appeal to everyone, and the pricing is higher than typical bakeries in the area. Some customers view it as more of an occasional treat rather than a regular stop.
Overall, Crumbl Cookies in Charlottesville is best approached as a specialty dessert experience rather than a traditional bakery—ideal for sharing, gifting, or trying something new each week.“

“I highly recommend this Pet Barkery!!! Was able to order a cake at the last minute and was PLEASANTLY amazed by the quick turnaround! He was very accommodating and made sure that my request was made as ordered. Thank you again for such a great experience!“
“We were thrilled to work with the Carpe Donut team for our daughter's recent wedding. Needless to say, that cute little truck and the amazing donuts were a hit with all our guests! They packed up some leftovers for our bridal party's morning-after breakfast, which was such a nice touch. This was just the "something unique" touch that we were hoping for at the reception. Thanks for such a great experience!“

“I absolutely love Great Harvest! When I went in today I had the pleasure of being greeted by Tracy, the owner (husband is Chris.). They purchased the business about 18 months ago and she explained all of the breads I had questions about and is so personable and a great baker! She introduced me to Michael and Caroline as well. Very dog-friendly. Great team overall! Their scones, cinnamon chip bread, bread pudding and cupcakes are “over the moon” delicious. I’d attach photos but have already inhaled! Parking is ample as well with reserved spots in front.“

“Wow wow wow! Found this place while going for a run on the Rivanna Trails and immediately ran home to force my husband on a coffee date with me. We love Grit coffee and Cou Cou Rachou so this is a match made in heaven. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunny day with ample amount of seating options incomparable to other coffee joints in the area. I really liked the cold brew and croissant. Definitely considering this as a place to bring friends when they come to town.“

“A HIDDEN GEM
We came to celebrate Galentine’s Day at Bar Tomas with a group of six, and the second you walk in it feels like you’ve stepped into a little European neighborhood restaurant. Warm, cozy, familiar… like a place locals go to. The food is outstanding and so authentic.
The plates are entrée size, but we decided to share everything so we could try it all, kind of our own tapas style situation. Every dish was amazing. The apple, lettuce, and nuts salad was big, crunchy, and super fresh. The garlic gambas were so flavorful served in a delicious broth. The calamari were incredibly tender and came with this creamy garlic sauce we kept dipping into. The artichokes were tender and savory. And the mushroom risotto was bursting with mushroom flavor.
Tomas makes his own bread too, and it’s this delicious crusty loaf that tastes like it came straight from a small European bakery. Such a special touch.
Even after the rest of the restaurant had emptied out, they told us to stay as long as we wanted, which made the whole night feel relaxed and easy.
It really is a hidden gem, a little European corner in Charlottesville, warm and authentic. I’ll definitely be back!“

“This is my 2nd visit to Camellia’s, and I am hooked. Their coffee is VERY good. I basically want to guzzle my latte. Their baristas and cashiers are super nice. Their pastry selection is insane. I’ve now tried three different pastries (no, I didn’t get two although I wanted to. I tried a piece of my friend’s lol), and all were delicious. The atmosphere is cozy, and they have lots of different searing options. You can sit at tables, in armchairs, on couches etc. This is now my new favorite coffee shop, and I spend a lot of time in coffee shops - so they’re about to get to know me really well!“

“Whenever I come to Charlottesville, I make it a point to stop at Grit for a mocha. Their mochas are outstanding! The other thing I appreciate is they have places for people to sit and work or read. It seems like so many commercial shops have gotten away from being that 3rd place for people. Besides the coffee being good, Grit is just a comfortable place to be!“
