I love Lone Light for work. Now they are open until 4, which makes it easier for me. : ) my dream is that they would open on Sunday too, but I understand that there shouldn't be much movement. Top quality coffee. Clean and comfortable environment.
This place is the bomb. I’ve tried all the major coffee shops in Cville and Lonelight wears the crown. Atmosphere is max. Smooth-as-butter music. Kind, swaggy staff. Guests are fashionable, that tells me everything I need to know. And of course, the coffee/matcha doesn’t miss. My favorite thing is this little station (see picture).

I frequent coffee shops 360~ days a year. This is hands down the best coffee in Charlottesville. The best coffee shops are a blend of science, skill, and artistry, with thought and intentionality built into everything by design. From Lone Light's choice of beans to the shop aesthetic, they do it so well. Shout out to Jacob and Ashton, who slay espresso while being awesome to chat with. Honestly, if modern third wave coffee is your jam, this is where you should go.
