“I visited a take-out Japanese restaurant at the H-Mart Fairfax Food Court with modest expectations regarding the quality of the food. Surprisingly, the Chirashi Salad Bowl and the Sashimi Combo were fresh and flavorful. Initially, I thought the Chirashi Bowl might be too small for one person, but it was just the right portion. However, considering its price, I found the Sashimi Combo to be relatively small. For those who prefer to dine in, there is a shared seating area in the center of the food court accessible to all the eateries.“

“Came for dessert after dinner at the plaza next door, and we got the Red Bean Bingsoo. Love that they use shaved milk, and not shaved ice 🥹 it is on the pricier end for the amount of bingsoo you get (the V-shaped bowl is slightly deceptive), but every bite was worth it.

The staff is also super responsive and helpful. We have some food allergies in our family that make being able to eat out really difficult, and they are so careful at Fo! “Great food, was able to customize the meal for my pickier kids. I added carrots to my Ramen and took out the mushrooms. Loved that I could customize so much of it! Kids loved the boba tea and the juice where you could add the boba balls to it. You could also pick how much sugar you wanted added!“

“More like 3.5 stars. The prices are great (by today’s standards) for the portion size. Wait times are incredibly short. And I was surprised by how much protein (shrimp) they gave me in my Bento box. But the food isn’t very flavorful and it’s quite greasy. Also, there weren’t very many vegetables included, and I didn’t get much sauce in my box. I’m not too upset about the taste because of the price, so I guess you get what you pay for.“

The staff was still very accommodating even though it was late and the food was good. Bubba was our chef and was very personable and entertaining!“
