“We just had lunch at Marshall Diner. We had Rubens, burgers, hotdogs, chicken tenders, biscuits & gravy (there were 8 of us) everything including the sweet tea was excellent. The charming country store vibe paired with the onsite bakery made for such a delightful experience. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by heavenly aromas that make it impossible to leave empty-handed. I tried the French ham and cheese quiche—absolutely scrumptious and almost tempting enough to buy a whole one to take home! Their selection of pies is incredible, and I couldn’t resist grabbing a fig scone too. I’ll definitely be back to sample more of their delicious treats!“

The only reason I gave 4 stars is because there was only 1 employee working. The dishes were piling up and the line was moving very slow. We wanted to purchase additional bottles to bring home but did not want to stand in line for another 30-45 minutes.“

“Went on Sunday 4/27 group of six and what a splendid thoroughly enjoyable experience. Its a brewery and a winery. had their Irish Red Ale beer, highly refreshing and Chardonnay Reserve. “Sunday, April 22, 2024, my wife and I were entertained at Delaplane Cellars tasting room by our old friends Keith & Viqui Dill AKA the Dill Pickers. We had a fantastic time listening to some great Bluegrass and Blues selections while enjoying several glasses of exquisite wine. We are hoping that they will book the Dill Pickers in the future and give us more than one day's notice so we can invite several friends to their venue. The staff were very courteous and attentive to our needs. As a disabled Vietnam veteran, I sometimes am not the most graceful so when I accidentally knocked over my glass of wine the staff were there instantly to clean up the mess and replace my wine. Our visit was exhilarating and the views were beautiful.“

“We stopped here on the way home from Sky Meadows State Park and we're glad we did! It's not very big, but the inside is beautifully decorated (each table and booth is painted with scenes of Mexico) and each table has a massive collection of hot sauces. The food is great too: my wife and I ordered fajitas for two and they came sizzling hot and tasty. Our kid loved the tacos and burritos on their kids menu as well. Highly recommended and much cheaper than most of the New American places in this part of Virginia targeting the winery crowd.“

“Server was inundated with customers and never brought me the beer I ordered. When steaks arrived server, not the one we started with, asked if we needed anything else. I mentioned the beer and said to just forget about it. He must have told manager as she showed up immediately and offered the beer at no charge. I refused but she insisted so it was delivered. Nice gesture that kind of made up for original ommission.“

“Wonderful experience from the moment we parked outside. The exterior is beautiful and as a bonus was nicely decorated for Halloween. Authentic interior decor experience worth coming. Food is delicious and we will for sure be back! We enjoyed every moment. There’s a dog friendly patio with seating outside if you want to bring your furry friend. Conveniently located about 30 minutes from Ashburn. We highly recommend!“

“We arrived at the Red Horse Tavern when outside patio seating was crowded with a 45-minute wait but inside we were greeted by a young man and given our choice of three tables in a small room to the right. We were waited on very quickly for drinks and food arrived timely. I couldn't believe how good the Irish burger and salad was, and my wife's Salmon was excellent. Our friends raved about their burgers with sweet potato and regular fries. Great servers made the whole experience relaxing. We felt special even though the room was full within ten minutes when we sat down. We definitely will return, and the prices are fantastic!“

I also want to give a special shout-out to P-mam, who has always been a wonderful presence at the restaurant. Their dedication to excellent service and quality food is evident in every visit.

“I am not a wine lover, but my boyfriend is. We took an impromptu trip to this winery yesterday and let me tell you, as soon as I walked in the door it felt like home. The owner greeted us at the door and asked what kind of wines or alcohol in general we normally go for. He then walked us over to the bar and had me, since I'm the picky one, try a few before selecting what I want to sip on! I actually found one that I enjoyed, a first! A total win! “Last night, our party of six had the pleasure of dining at Girasole, an Italian restaurant located in the charming town of The Plains, Virginia. We were celebrating my mother-in-law's retirement, and Girasole proved to be the perfect spot for our special occasion.

The service was absolutely outstanding, deserving a full five stars. Our waitress, Gabriele, went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time. Her attentiveness and friendly demeanor made us feel incredibly welcome and well-cared for. She truly contributed to making our celebration memorable.

We indulged in a variety of beverages, including mixed drinks, wine, and beer, all of which were excellent. The appetizers were amazing, setting the stage for an equally impressive main course. Each dish was flavorful and beautifully presented.

One of the highlights of the evening was that Girasole allowed us to bring in a custom cake. They graciously cut and served it as if it were their own, even adding a delightful touch of powdered sugar sprinkle, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated detail.
