“I really love this place. Their food is so well flavored, and in my personal opinion it tastes like home. I’m Mexican so it reminds me of the food I grew up with. The cashier at the front is super nice and helpful, and the cooking staff is great too.

I really love their Carne Asada plate (number 24). The steak is always done to perfection and seasoned so well, and their rice and beans are delicious. Their homemade tortillas are just as good, with a great consistency that pairs perfectly with any protein.

And the pizza toppings were extremely skimpy. So we stopped ordering from them. Yesterday we decided to give them another try. Glad we did - the Quattro Formaggi pizza and the big steak sub were both delicious. Of course, based on previous experiences with skimpy toppings, I paid for extra amounts of each of the cheeses on the pizza. Do not know what it would be like without paying for extra amounts of toppings.“

The seating availability? That’s where the extra star gets lost.

Ashburn Pub has everything you want from a great neighborhood establishment: excellent food, fantastic drinks, genuinely friendly service, and prices that won’t leave you wondering whether you accidentally paid for the building.

Four stars from me—but if they ever add more seating or implement a reliable reservation system, this would easily be a five-star experience.

Until then, plan ahead and be prepared to compete with the rest of Ashburn for a table or a seat at the bar if you’re especially lucky that day.“

“Fun story.

Day one in DC for my nephew’s wedding and I got an Uber to pick my cousin up from her hotel.

Turns out I put the wrong address in and got dropped off to some random hotel. Uber driver had already left and I was embarrassed enough that I just walked out of the wrong hotel’s lobby forgetting the fact that I didn’t have any data.

After a few minutes walk in the typical pedestrian hostile roads of America, I saw the bright lights of Longhorn and thought this place must have WiFi. And they did. Ordered Uber again using the free WiFi and avoided disaster.

Sometimes you don’t have to step in the restaurant to appreciate their service and I’m grateful for this.

“Our Monday night dinner group has come back here multiple times. The smell is wonderful immediately when you walk in. The host and all staff there are super friendly and always fun to chat with. Our waiter had our whole table laughing every time we engaged with him. Everyone's orders were perfectly cooked, nice sized portions and came out very quickly. I personally love the Malaysian Iced Coffee, Roti Canai and Chicken Satay. Our group had noodle dishes, beef, lamb, seafood....all was wonderful. The flavors are vivid and bright, delicious and clearly comfort food. I promise you, you'll enjoy your trip here. Great food for everyone. I don't care for lamb but tried my business partner's meal and LOVED IT! Mona has definitely won me over hands down! The Shwarma was like nothing I have ever had before. And as a BIG pickle lover, this was a hit! The Rice Pudding was very delicate and a perfect ending to a perfect meal. We ordered the Knafe Bel Jibne as we were very curious. It is a warm sweet treat with a very slight hint of savory which comes from the pistachios - YUM! Mona cooks everything herself to order with LOVE!
