The food is incredible and every dish was great among our group. The pumpkin dumplings were a favorite. The service was terrible though, but I truly believe it was just the server we ended up with. Was gone most of the night and literally rushed our orders and never came back with the extra menues or boxes we asked from him. We ended up having to flag down the manager for those items and when they brought out the”birthday” plate they just dropped it in front of the wrong person...
This restaurant has a nice ambiance and even nicer vegan menu options. Anything listed as vegetarian can be made vegan by substituting almond yogurt, etc. We ordered the Qabuli Combination, which was basmati rice with greens, butternut squash, and chickpeas on the side, and the Vegan Flight, which included chickpeas, butternut squash, okra, eggplant, greens, and lentils served with Qabuli rice. Both were delicious and filling.
This was our first time there with friends who have gone there before. The ambiance was great. Server Darwin was very attentive. We had the assorted dumplings as appetizer and they were GREAT. I had the braised lamb shank with risotto (8/10....and I give an 8 only because I felt the shank lacked salt); others had beef tenderloin (10/10), lamb tenderloin (again excellent) and the vegetarian platter. This is definitely a place we would love to come back to. The meat is all halal...
