“Great way to start the weekend watching the sunset over the Blueridge with great cocktails. We had one bourbon, one gin, one mimosa and one martini all very good. I'm a true southern girl and I was skeptical of messing with just salt and water for boiled peanuts....but let me tell you, the Cajun and local spices used to boil these were amazing....we ate every last one.Charcuterie- love their dedication to local products. Was a fan of everything except the ham...too gamey/smoky for me.What was lost on the ham was made up 100+ times on the bolognese special...tease my taste buds...creamy and spicy a true taste explosion and the tortellini was perfect. Paired with the Cabernet from Napa made a delightful dinner...left no room for dessert.I don't want to undermine the seasonal pasta...butternut squash with sunflower seeds linguine. It was delicious but paled in comparison to that bolognese.Service was terrific. Definitely worth a stop while at Primland (and whatever you do...don't miss the peanuts!)“
“Amazing place to get away. I had a short stay but packed a lot in — I was able to hike, have a nice dinner, take in the scenery on the blue ridge and enjoy the cool mountain weather. New owners are terrific hosts and putting their personal touches on the place (including renovations). This place is a gem. Can’t wait to explore more the next time we come through. Definitely worth the drive from DC!“
“Great food, awesome service, and wonderful environment! Definitely recommend!Parking: Large parking lot with plenty of spaces.Kid-friendliness: Staff and owner was wonderful to the children that were in the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access for anyone in a wheelchair. Tables are also easy for someone in a wheelchair to access.“
“Angela I believe her name is has been very helpful always. Last year she was wonderful when my daughter and I did taste testing for her birthday! Yesterday when I called and had questions about an upcoming reservation again she was so helpful! They all are so helpful and the lunch yesterday there was great! Thank you!! Maria French“
“Small town life, rich in its history, this little place has been here for a long time! The food is great, the folks are friendly. They only accept cash, however there is an ATM inside the restaurant! Couldn't ask for nicer people!Vegetarian options: I had the veggie Omlet, it was delicious ?Parking: It's a tight area but there's a parking lot close that can be used if needed.“
“Food was ok. Alfredo is highly seasoned with some sort of spicy red spice. Assuming the waitress doesn't eat there or she would have mentioned that it would be too spicy for a child.. Super sweet server, and great service even while under staffed.Beer battered shrimp good and greasy. Burger was just fine, margaritas was yummy. 6 year old enjoyed her icecream?“
“This diner doesn't have enough recent reviews, so here goes. We eat at this little restaurant a few times a month. It serves simple food, but it is always tasty. The staff are friendly and the service is quick. If you're looking for fancy or trendy food, keep looking. But if you want good country eating with decent portion sizes, give Jim's a try.“
“I was just passing through and stopped at Hardee's, it was dirty, the floors were nasty so i left and went to Stuarts right across the street. Im happy i did, its just a cool little southern food family place that had damn good food, friendly staff and just a nice little place to eat. Give it a try its worth the stop. Thank you.“
“We ate here on a weekend trip and it was DELICIOUS. I got the veggie plant and it was all cooked to perfection. I was raised on good homegrown and cooked southern vegetables, my standards are high, and I wholeheartedly recommend them! Stop here if you are in Meadows of Dan. You won’t regret it!“
