“Fresh and hot food, very quick service. It wasn't very busy when I went so the speed of the service may vary. I got the spicy Clux deluxe sandwich and it was surprisingly quite spicy (I like spicy food and most place's "spicy" chicken I don't consider very spicy). I also got mozzarella sticks which were alright, unfortunately received cocktail sauce rather than marinara. I'll likely return again for lunch if I'm in the area but it's not a place I would make a special trip out to try.Parking: This is a drive in diner so be prepared to eat in your vehicle.“
“We are just passing through and spending the night in Hillsville VA. The Mason Jar was recommended, we are glad it was. Great service, food was good. Had my 1st piece of sweet potato cheese cake. Never knew it existed. Yum!! The hamburger came with ghost pepper cheese, buyer beware.. it is hot ?“
“We tripped upon this restaurant on our drive home from South Carolina and what a pleasant surprise it was. I ate their pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and added their barbecue sauce and it was absolutely delicious. My husband had chicken wings and coleslaw. It was again delicious. Their atmosphere is a little rough but fine. They have some lovely merchandise that they sell in the front of the store. Great place to stop by.“
“What a fabulous place! The food was excellent. I went with a friend and we ordered a Monte Cristo sandwich and the Hot Mama, each having a half of both sandwiches. Both were good but we agreed the Hot Mama was our favorite. I had a white bean and rosemary soup which was the best soup I’ve had in my life. My friend had the loaded potato soup and said it was excellent. The atmosphere is wonderfully quaint and the staff was friendly.“
“This place was on my old sales route up through NC and VA mountains. I would always stop in going up and coming back down through my route every month. The food is very good, but their pies are second to none! I would always put in an order for a couple pies on my way up to pick up and bring home on my way back to NC. If I remember correctly their pies were featured in several VA newspapers too. Definitely give them a try! I’m going to be in the area this weekend and am making sure to stop in for old time sake!“
“Had a wonderful meal with my wife and son. The cheeseburger is a fantastic choice with onion rings! The corn nuggets were great along with the salad and chicken tenders.
