Went on a rainy morning. The coffee was great, latte was delish.... The yogurt with cherries and granola off the charts. The employees are friendly, and very efficient. Food and drinks came out in no time. The atmosphere is perfect for small town coffee shop. This is probably one of my favorite coffee shops that I have visited. Highly recommend. We will be back.

Cute coffee shop that offers freshly made sandwiches and baked goods. Haven't tried the sandwiches yet but the baked goods are fresh and the quality seems home made (aka better than most coffee shop baked goods). Coffee is good too. Service is quick and staff is friendly. Good amount of seating.

We bought a couple of hot chocolates. The beverages were disgusting and warmish at best. The beverages didn't taste like chocolate, and it tasted chemically sweetened and a little like coffee and peanut butter, just gross! It's clear that the utensils lacked cleaning. The whipped cream topping the beverage was also very bad. It tasted like an extremely sweet chemical and didn't taste like cream. They have a small food menu that I thought we would try another time, but after trying the beverages, we will not come again.Service was good.

Very good latte, not bitter, very creamy, stayed hot for a long time, didn't over-caffinate. The tables were dirty. They are busy, but weren't so busy as to leave tables untended while people looked around. I cleaned my own table. Some people read, but this is a talking place. Dim but warm and cozy. Most luxurious bathroom paper towels for a cafe. Uncomfortable seating and very tight. You will be on your neighbor. Still a good option. Lovely patio for when weather is ok

Cute coffee shop located in downtown Middleburg with good coffee and breakfast sandwich options. Great tasting coffee and lots and of nice local art on the walls. Good place to stop by if visiting middleburg or passing through.

Coffee is great, atmosphere is really nice, would come back here. Only down side was one of the guys making coffee behind the bar was in an exceptionally bad mood. Maybe he was having an off day. But he announced loudly and angrily that he was "trying to get work done but people just won't stop coming in" .. what a horrible problem to have??

“Common Grounds is a cozy and welcoming coffee shop located in the heart of Middleburg. The staff is friendly and personable, and the atmosphere is inclusive and homely. The coffee is flavorful and fresh, and the chocolate cheesecake muffin is a must-try. The free WiFi is fast, and the establishment is perfect for a quick bite or a leisurely chat with friends. Highly recommended!” ?????

Visited 40 minutes before closing on Sunday (3:20pm) and I was treated like I was already getting on the way of their closing! The staff was not friendly or welcoming, the items were limited and served in a very casual way. While the business closes at 4pm on Sundays, I guess you are not welcome anywhere close to that time. Here is the full experience: I approached the counter to order 40 minutes before 4pm and they seemed like they were already cleaning up for closing. I kindly ask if they are still open. The guy behind the counter looked at the other person and jokingly asked "are we still open?", momentarily he turns back to me and says "it depends what you order"...I was like okayyyy...Then he started explaining that their coffee machine overworked the last five days...!! and it's not working, so they can only offer regular drip coffee. I hesitantly ordered that, which was given in a go cup (ok, this might be standard) and also I ordered a muffin which was given to me, just casually wrapped in a piece of paper, no plate or bag, even though I was about to sit and sip my coffee in the store. The atmosphere was kinda dark (but cosy) and now I wonder whether they had turn off part of the lights too.Needless to say that by 3:30, the small display with all the muffins/cookies/pastries was all emptied to storage and cleaned up and multiple customers who came in after me had nothing to see or to order and they were told the same story about the coffee machine. By 3:45, a vacuum cleaner was brought out and vacuum by my seat.

Love this coffee shop. The coffee is almost as terrific as the atmosphere. Every month, the walls feature a different local artist ranging from photography, oils, watercolors, and more.Take time to enjoy the experience here.

Coffee and food are tasty and well-presented; but service is very slow. Though it was during lunchtime and they gave us a heads up for some parts of our order; it took over 45 min for a few sandwiches; and 15min for a lemonade. The place is not the that big for it to be justified.

Coffee was lukewarm. The guy who greeted us, I'm guessing he was the owner, was very rude and condescending. I think he thought we were part of another group, but either way...not doing that again

Ambiance is cute and drinks are fine, but they're overpriced for what they are and be prepared because there service is very slow. For two drinks (one hot, one iced) we waited 15 minutes. I don't know if they need more baristas or a more efficient system but it's kind of ridiculous.

Nice cozy vibe inside but weirdly dark lighting. I ordered a peppermint mocha that had very little chocolate or peppermint. My mom ordered a hot chocolate which just tasted like warm milk. My brother ordered a chai which was quite good. They have sandwiches to order and muffins and scones which looked pretty decent. Friendly baristas and cute space but disappointing drinks.
