“I rarely give five stars across the board.Because I think it's an overkill, but this place earned it.I've been coming here since I moved to this.Area about three months ago.And every time I come in here, the place looks like they're getting ready for a commercial today.I walked in.They're in the middle of serving customers making subs, and you can't even tell that they're making subs, because there's not even a single crumb on the board.There's no food in between the dishes.Everything is fresh.Everything is laid out one day.I came in here all the produce, and meat was laid out in a pattern.Another day I came in and they had the entire drink covered in suds.They were scrubbing it from top to bottom.Every single time we come in here it is spotless.The staff is super friendly and the food is always fresh.I highly recommend.”

“Friday 1/2/26 came in for breakfast on a very rare day off. The restaurant was obviously understaffed, i could only see 2 employees, there may have been others, but the 2 i could see were amazing. These ladies need to be recognized and rewarded. Great job. Great breakfast.”

“I would recommend this place for the pizza, but, I have to admit I was disappointed with the chicken marsala. My son and I went into town and decided to eat inside so I ordered the chicken marsala. The chicken was very soggy like it been sitting in something all day. The marsala sauce was extremely runny. Which made the pasta have no flavor whatsoever. I tried to toss it all together again it kept running off like syrup. Hardly any mushrooms in the sauce and it was tasteless. Maybe a bad day for the Marsala sauce but at $15 a plate I was looking forward to it. The wait staff were great, friendly and prompt. Might just need to stick to pizza. My son’s calzone was drier and basically a brick of cheese. :(”

“Traveling from Georgia to NJ, we were fortunate to luck onto Sal’s, we were able to get a table even though we didn’t have a reservation. Great to meet the Jersey transplants. Our meals were fantastic, the service was amazing even though the restaurant was packed. Highly recommend, configure a stop here while traveling. Buon Appetito!”

“During our Annual timeshare trek to Bayse VA we stumbled on Kathy’s Home Cooking in New Market and man oh man are we glad! Fabulous large portions of fish (Pollack) and tender Liver & Onions dinners served with a friendly smile by the new 80 year old owner herself, Katherine, who said she used to work for “Kathy” before Kathy sold Katherine the business. Just connect the dots, folks, and you’ll get who’s who eventually. Don’t leave Shen Valley if you are looking for a clean place with good ole fashioned home cooking’ and friendly Southern hospitality?”

“I ordered Vittles catering for our family Christmas meal and picked up on Christmas eve. The ham and 3 sides were ready to reheat in aluminum trays, and I also got a huge bag of cornbread muffins. Everyone raved about how delicious the food was! At $18 a person, with no mess to clean, and the meat and sides all done at the same time- this was the best money I’ve spent in all of 2021!
