Peruvian Charcoal Chicken & Wings offers a wonderful place to eat with a massive menu that has something for everyone. The food is fresh and seasoned well; the chicken is excellent, and the chicken wings are great with flavorful, quality meat. The 24 karat gold wings are perfectly crispy and fried, while the Philly cheesesteak uses proper amoroso rolls. The green sauce is fire. The crab sticks are a favorite, fried just right. The fries can be a hit or miss, sometimes crispy and perfect but other times soggy. Service is fast and friendly, with swift wait times, though it can be better. The location is very clean and spacious, offering dine-in or takeout. Open 24 hours a day in Newport News, this is a one-stop shop for fried selections, bowls, and sandwiches. It is highly recommended and a jewel of the hood.
