I’ve been going to them for a couple of years and the food was always good but since they have changed everything on the menu the food is not the same. The Mac and cheese is overcooked and almost mushy and that was one of my favorite items on the menu. Respectfully this is no longer island they are clearly under new management or something I miss the food the way it use to be.
They were nice but the food wasn't. I'm sorry. 3 stars only for them being sweet people. So, just off how nice they were, i should've known this wasn't a Jamaican spot. The jerk sauce, is not jerk sauce... it kinda tastes like ketchup or tomato paste and not very good. It was beautifully decorated indoors though. And the music! The music was top tier. I would not recommend the chicken, empanada or anything jerk.

Great ambiance and atmosphere. The jerk was ok but I was kind of disappointed. It was more hot sauce and red pepper tasting than traditional jerk. It also seemed to not be smoked at all which threw me all the way off.
