My boyfriend and I stopped by Penguin’s because I was craving a snow cone badly and we came in an hour before closing. There was nobody else in the shop (at the location by the beach) and we chatted with the owners until they closed. This is one of the best places to get something cold and sweet, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. The owners are thoughtful, funny, and friendly, and this is one of my favorite spots to go to since they opened 8 years ago!
I came from northern Virginia 3 hours away to visit Norfolk and we stopped by penguins in my opinion the mango flavor with mango pieces was the best combination out of everything.I recommend this place to everyone in Norfolk either live or visit penguins and they are way better than the slurpee at 7-11 cause they don’t have the natural fruit like penguins does.
Loved my shaved ice with ice cream! The kiddies size is 5 dollars and so big! I think 12 Oz! They overfill the cup like a normal snowcone too! Tastes amazing. Friendly staff too. Ice cream is only 2 dollars extra. Tax included. We paid 12 flat for ours. I got ice cream with mine, my daughter got hers regular. Tons of flavors to choose from, no joke there.
